Nineteen beds. Nineteen kids off the floor.

On Saturday, June 27, eight brothers of Jackson Lodge No. 1 joined Sleep in Heavenly Peace — Tallahassee Chapter to build and deliver beds across Lake Town, Jackson Bluff, and Southside Tallahassee. Nineteen children woke up Sunday morning in their own beds — some of them for the first time.

SHP's mission is a simple one: no kid sleeps on the floor in our town.

Thanks to the Brothers who put in the work — Doug Knowles, Wes Prime, Rainey Basinger, Glen Ray, Steve Jinks, Jimmy Navarro, Sean Gillis, and Keiffer Lindsey — and to Rick Courtemanche and the SHP Tallahassee crew for the partnership.

We're back at it Saturday, August 8. Families are welcome this time. Details coming soon.

If this kind of work speaks to you, Freemasonry might too. Learn about the Craft at beafreemason.org, or take the next step with our Lodge at jl1.org/lodge/?page_id=567.
