Passing this along for awareness. Last week, the Department of Justice issued a memo that argues States aren't legally required to provide community-based services for persons with disabilities. Although this memo isn't a formal policy, it may have a broad chilling effect on the inclusion of persons with disabilities from education and beyond. This was discussed last night on the "PBS NewsHour" (see linked video). Please stay informed on this matter and remain engaged in the work of advocacy for our students.
