Florida Voice for the Unborn

Florida Voice for the Unborn A Tallahassee-based, statewide pro-life grassroots lobbying group that's laser focused on the unborn.

Proverbs 31:8 commands us to “Speak out on behalf of the voiceless, and for the rights of all who are vulnerable.” In contemporary society, there is no one more vulnerable than the voiceless unborn child. Florida Voice for the Unborn exists to positively influence laws and regulations that affect, directly and indirectly, the lives of all preborn human beings, from the moment of conception onwar

d. As a Florida non-profit corporation in existence since January 1, 2020, Florida Voice for the Unborn intends to function as tax-exempt under Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c)(4). The work of Florida Voice for the Unborn is guided by faith in God’s only Son, Jesus Christ. I’m honored to receive the endorsement of Florida Voice for the Unborn.

As a father, student ministry leader, and school board member, I believe every human life has value and deserves to be protected. Being pro-life isn’t simply a campaign position for me—it reflects the values I strive to live every day.

I’m grateful for this endorsement and proud to stand for the unborn, for families, and for a culture that values life. 🇺🇸❤️

Florida Voice for the Unborn’s Fourth Annual Dobbs Day Banquet & Workshop on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, was our most successful event to date!

Taking place this year at the Radisson Resort at the Port in Cape Canaveral with nearly 50 grassroots pro-life advocates from all over Florida in attendance, and with more than 30 generous sponsorships, we raised over $10,000.00!

In celebration of the fourth anniversary of the U.S. Supreme Court’s historic decision overturning Roe v. Wade, and in recognition of our nation’s 250th birthday this year, the theme was centered on “the unalienable right to life of unborn children.”

During the workshop session led by Executive Director Andrew Shirvell, grassroots pro-life advocates discussed strategy and tactics in our next steps in the fight for life here in our Sunshine State.

The workshop began with Executive Director Shirvell providing a detailed update regarding his very positive June 17th meeting with Florida Agency for Health Care Administration Secretary Shevaun Harris, the head of the state agency that oversees enforcement of our abortion laws and regulations.

Then, after a special viewing of the beautiful fetal development video “Baby Olivia,” Executive Director Shirvell was joined by a representative from our ally, the Christian Family Coalition Florida, to discuss our joint efforts to have public school boards include the “Baby Olivia” video in their county-wide curriculum. In addition, we talked about our teamwork in promoting remembrance of young pro-life patriot Charlie Kirk on the local level, as we approach the solemn one-year anniversary of his martyrdom.

And following an examination of the more than 20 open legislative seats on Florida Voice for the Unborn’s radar this year, the workshop closed out, as we always do, with a robust, open mic discussion, in which attendees shared feedback as well as their ideas and opinions on other relevant matters, including this year’s gubernatorial contest.

We then held our pre-scheduled “Pro-Life Gubernatorial Straw Poll,” and were graced by attendee Donna B.’s special dance performance from the critically-acclaimed 1998 animation film, “The Prince of Egypt,” which retells the biblical story of Moses.

During the banquet portion, attendees enjoyed fellowship and dined on a delicious catered buffet meal. The banquet’s keynote speaker, pro-life Christian author Liz T. Beaton, was a remarkable blessing! Ms. Beaton discussed her wonderful children’s book, “The Perfect Little Angel,” and shared her personal, very moving testimony of redemption. At the event, attendees purchased nearly 40 copies of her book, and Ms. Beaton very generously donated all of the proceeds to Florida Voice for the Unborn!

Before the closing prayer and song, Florida Voice for the Unborn Founder and Executive Director Andrew Shirvell surprised two attendees, Renée H. and Bill S., by conferring upon them “The Founder’s 2026 Grassroots Pro-Life Advocate Award.” Renée also accepted the award on behalf of Trudy P., the head of Family for LIFE, who was unable to attend this year due to exigent circumstances.

Together, these three longtime pro-life warriors demonstrated an exceptional dedication to the unborn over the last year. As leaders of Jacksonville-based Family for LIFE, Trudy and Renée have been unrelenting in their valiant efforts seeking “protection at conception” for all our unborn brothers and sisters. And Bill has not only been Florida Voice for the Unborn’s most devoted member of our Rapid Deployment Force by spending time at countless legislative hearings, but he was also instrumental earlier this year in getting his home county of Jefferson (outside of Tallahassee) to adopt the “Baby Olivia” video as part of the county’s public school curriculum.

Congratulations to Trudy, Renée, and Bill on their well-deserved honor!

Thank you to all of our supporters who attended, and/or served as generous sponsors for, our fourth consecutive June 24th Dobbs Day event! It was another uplifting annual day of encouragement and hope, as we solider on during the defining battle of our age.

Onward and upward, for God’s glory!

P.S. Please be sure to save the date for our Fifth Annual Dobbs Day Banquet & Workshop (Thursday, June 24, 2027). It will occur again at a different location within Florida!
