Today, October 5th, the Flagler County Board of County Commissioners issued an official proclamation “recognizing October 14, 2026 as ‘Charlie Kirk Day of Remembrance’ in Flagler County.” 💯

October 14th would have been Charlie’s 33rd birthday. 😢

Lobbying for these types of local proclamations was one focus of the workshop portion of Florida Voice for the Unborn’s annual June 24th Dobbs Day event, which was held this year in Cape Canaveral. We have been thrilled to partner once again with our ally, the Christian Family Coalition (CFC) Florida, on this important statewide endeavor!

At the Flagler County board meeting this morning, Florida Voice for the Unborn Founder and Executive Director Andrew Shirvell addressed the Commission to thank the members for UNANIMOUSLY voting in favor of the proclamation honoring Charlie’s heroic legacy and his martyrdom. During Shirvell’s remarks, he highlighted the fact that Charlie was an unwavering champion for the rights of our unborn brothers and sisters.

Chairman Andrew Shirvell today issued the following statement:

“Based upon disturbing new information uncovered this week indisputably linking Republican Marshall Rawson to the infamous 2017 hate rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, Florida Voice for the Unborn Political Action Committee (PAC) is publicly calling for Rawson to withdraw from the race for the open House District 10 seat, which spans Baker, Bradford, Columbia, Union, and (part of) Alachua counties in north central Florida.”

Shirvell continued, “Marshall Rawson’s self-admitted, unrepentant participation in the Charlottesville rally – alongside members of the Ku Klux Klan, neo-Nazis, and others who despise racial minorities, Catholics, and Jews – is disqualifying. Moreover, his legislative campaign is heavily funded by those same unsavory elements.”

Shirvell further remarked, “In this past August’s Republican Primary Election, Rawson was able to defeat his opponent Chase Brannan, the son of Rep. Chuck Brannan, the current House District 10 incumbent who has reached the end of his consecutive term limit. Rep. Brannan has a faithful pro-life voting record and his son, Chase, is also staunchly pro-life. Florida Right to Life, a longtime member of the state’s do-little pro-life establishment, nonetheless chose to give its sole endorsement in the Primary to Rawson, allowing Rawson to improperly tout his supposed pro-life credentials to voters just as early voting got underway – and just as questions about Rawson’s support for fringe ideologies were beginning to surface.”

Shirvell added, “Florida Right to Life’s endorsement of Rawson follows a disturbing pattern. This past January, Florida Right to Life permitted controversial gubernatorial candidate James Fishback and his entourage to attend its dinner in Jacksonville. Florida Right to Life also helped bankroll a march the following day, in which Fishback, a main speaker, repeated incendiary remarks calling for the ‘burning down’ of abortion mills in our state.”

Shirvell continued, “Florida Voice for the Unborn PAC, which was officially registered with the state of Florida on August 4, 2026, did not make any endorsements in legislative races during the Primary. Following Congressman Byron Donalds’ overwhelming win in this year’s Republican gubernatorial contest, Florida Voice for the Unborn PAC proudly endorsed his candidacy on August 31st. Florida Voice for the Unborn PAC also plans to announce further candidate endorsements in other important electoral contests prior to the General Election.”

Shirvell concluded, “In light of the new nauseating revelations concerning Marshall Rawson, Florida Voice for the Unborn PAC will never give him our stamp of approval because he is not authentically pro-life. We also condemn Florida Right to Life’s endorsement of Rawson’s candidacy and strongly urge that organization to immediately rescind its backing so that House District 10 voters are not further misled, especially if Rawson refuses to do the right thing by withdrawing from the race.”

Today, 9-12-2026, pro-lifers across Florida and our entire nation are participating in the annual National Day of Remembrance for Aborted Children. 🌹

This morning, Florida Voice for the Unborn Executive Director Andrew Shirvell read the familiar spiritual warfare passage from Ephesians 6:10-18 ✝ during the Tallahassee prayer service held at Roselawn Cemetery, where hundreds of aborted babies are buried. 😢

May all the precious little ones we prayerfully remember today rest in God’s eternal peace. 🙏

One year ago today, on September 10, 2025, the life of well-known pro-life Christian patriot Charlie Kirk was snuffed out by a leftwing LGBT extremist.

Florida Voice for the Unborn is proud to partner with our ally, the Christian Family Coalition (CFC) Florida, in lobbying local county commissions to pass resolutions honoring Charlie’s profound legacy and heroic martyrdom.

Most recently, on August 20th, the Jefferson County Board of County Commissioners approved a proclamation “designating October 14 of each year as ‘Charlie Kirk Day of Remembrance’ in Jefferson County, Florida.”

Florida Voice for the Unborn Executive Director Andrew Shirvell attended that commission meeting, testifying in support along with his colleague John Labriola from CFC Florida, and a number of local residents, including student Gabriella G. (a college freshman who gave excellent public testimony) and Bill S., who was relentless in making sure that the commission placed the proclamation on its meeting agenda (Bill was also one of three individuals to receive the Founder’s 2026 Grassroots Pro-Life Advocate Award at Florida Voice for the Unborn’s 2026 Dobbs Day event back on June 24th).

Hard to believe it’s been a year without my friend Charlie.

He was a man of deep faith, conviction, and a profound love for this country.

Charlie left us far too soon, but the movement he helped build and the generation he inspired carry his legacy forward.

Miss you, brother. We’re still in the fight.
