Welcome to the CSC Leon Governing Council, Byron Wade! 🎉

CSC Leon is proud to welcome Byron Wade as the newest member of our Governing Council! Byron was officially sworn in last week as the Florida Department of Children and Families District Appointee, bringing more than 18 years of public service and child welfare experience to the Council.

We’re excited to have Byron bring his experience, perspective and deep commitment to community collaboration to our Council as we continue working together to invest in kids and strengthen families.

Please join us in giving Byron a warm CSC Leon welcome! 💚

Earlier this week, we hosted a “Promising Literacy Practices“ staff training for K-5 afterschool programs. Jenn Faber with the Florida Grade-Level Reading Campaign was an excellent educator. But don’t just take our word for it, hear directly from the participants!

Spring date coming soon.

We fund ten local Boys & Girls Clubs in Leon County. Some are based in schools. Some are based in community centers. All are helping youth reach their full potential as productive, caring and responsible citizens. 💥

Seeing the impact our organization has on hundreds of kids is why we show up every day. That impact wouldn’t be possible if it weren’t for community partners like the Children's Services Council of Leon County. Because of their investment in the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Big Bend, we’re able to keep seeing these smiling faces each day. More importantly, we’re able to help our members reach their full potential as productive, caring, and responsible citizens.
