Partnership is at the heart of everything we do.

We couldn't do this work without the unwavering support, collaboration, and commitment of our partners. Together, we are strengthening prevention efforts, supporting survivors, and building communities that are better equipped to recognize and respond to human trafficking.

To each of our partners: thank you for standing with us and helping make this mission possible. We are grateful to have you by our side.

When a hurricane strikes, there are dangers beyond the storm.

As communities recover from the impact of a hurricane, families may be displaced, routines are disrupted, and people are often searching for help and resources. Traffickers use this as an opportunity to exploit these moments of uncertainty by targeting individuals who are vulnerable or in crisis.

Awareness is just as important as preparedness.

As you make your hurricane plans, include a conversation about personal safety. Talk with your friends and loved ones about staying connected to trusted members of the community, being cautious of unsolicited offers of transportation, housing, jobs, or financial assistance.

Comment with a checkmark if your family has a hurricane preparedness plan—or if you'll be creating one this season.

Every child is invaluable—and every conversation matters.

Traffickers often use phones, tablets, gaming platforms, social media, and other online spaces to identify, contact, groom, and exploit vulnerable children. Behind every screen is a real person, and not everyone online has good intentions.

As children head back to school, take time to secure the devices they use with strong privacy settings and parental controls. More importantly, have ongoing, age-appropriate conversations about responsible technology use, protecting personal information, and trusting their instincts. Make sure they know they can always come to you if something online makes them feel uncomfortable or unsafe.

The best protection isn't just technology—it's an informed child who knows they are supported by trusted adults.

What steps does your family take to help children stay safe online as they head back to school?

Every day we work to strengthen Florida's response to one of the most complex crimes affecting our communities.

Our work goes beyond raising awareness. We bring together partners from across the state—including those in law enforcement, healthcare, education, the nonprofit sector, the business community, and other branches of government—to promote collaboration, expand training opportunities, and share resources that help prevent human trafficking before it happens.

By educating professionals and communities, we're helping create a Florida where more people are empowered to make a difference.

Ending human trafficking takes all of us.

On World Day Against Trafficking in Persons, we recognize the 2026 global campaign, "Trapped Behind the Scam."

Behind many online scams are victims of human trafficking who are forced to commit cyber-enabled fraud through coercion, violence, and fear.

At the Florida Alliance to End Human Trafficking, we are committed to raising awareness, strengthening prevention efforts, and working together to protect victims and hold traffickers accountable.

Together, we can help end human trafficking.

Every person has value. Every person deserves freedom.

is more than a hashtag; it’s a declaration that every life matters. The movement is built on a simple but powerful truth: human beings are not commodities. They are not meant to be bought, sold, exploited, or owned.

Today, an estimated 25 million people worldwide are trapped in human trafficking and exploitation. Behind every number is a unique individual with dreams, dignity, and worth beyond measure.

This campaign is a promise that we will continue working toward a world where freedom, safety, and justice belong to everyone.

Behind every statistic is a person, a story, and a journey of resilience.

If you’re planning a conference, community event, workplace training, or educational program, consider inviting a survivor to share their lived experience. Survivors of human trafficking help educate communities, challenge misconceptions, and inspire action. Their voices bring a human perspective to an issue that is too often hidden from sight.

Together, we can raise awareness, foster understanding, and help prevent human trafficking.

S*x trafficking exists, but it is not the only type of human trafficking. Forced labor is another type of human trafficking; both involve exploitation of people. Victims are found in legitimate and illegitimate labor industries, including massage parlors, agriculture, restaurants, hotels, and domestic service.
