PHFC has the best board members! Our board members do so much more than provide leadership and guidance. They give their time, share their talents and resources, and demonstrate a personal commitment to our mission of helping children, young adults and families build brighter futures.

Their support helps ensure that the children and families we serve have the tools, encouragement and opportunities they need to succeed.

Our Board of Trustees lead by example and put faith into action!

Thank you PHFC Board Members, Amy Hill-Dickerson and Cindy Wilson, for bringing supplies when you came for the PHFC Board Meeting. Contributions really make a difference in our program costs. Thank you for your support of ALA.

We are grateful to The Daily Home for sharing the inspiring story of Logan, a Presbyterian Home for Children alumnus who has joined the Air National Guard and is pursuing his dream of a career in aerospace engineering!

Logan's journey is also a story of family, perseverance and new beginnings. His mother, Bizzy, came to Presbyterian Home for Children at a time when she and her family needed support and stability. With a safe place to rebuild and opportunities to move forward, Bizzy worked toward a brighter future for herself and her son.

Today, she couldn't be prouder of Logan for achieving his goal of joining the Air National Guard and is excited about the opportunities ahead of him.

This is why our mission matters. When we help mothers and children find stability, hope and opportunity, the impact can last for generations.

Thank you to The Daily Home for shining a spotlight on Logan's accomplishments and sharing a story that reflects the lasting difference a helping hand can make.

We are so proud of Logan and Bizzy and can't wait to see what the future holds! 💙

Presbyterian Home for Children CEO Doug Marshall and Director of Development Suzanne Cornett enjoyed sharing an update on the latest activities and ministries at the Home with our longtime friends at First Presbyterian Church of Talladega.

Our relationship with this special congregation stretches back generations. For decades, church members have welcomed children and families from the Home into worship, served on our Board of Trustees, and maintained deep family and personal connections with our ministry and its leaders.

Today, that faithful partnership continues. First Presbyterian is home to our Ascension Leadership Academy, and the church's minister, Rev. Leeann Scarbrough, also serves as the Home's Director of Spiritual Life.

We are deeply grateful for a congregation that has walked alongside Presbyterian Home for Children through generations of change, growth, and service. Their commitment is a beautiful reminder that our ministry is built on relationships rooted in faith, love, and a shared calling to serve children and families.

Thank you, First Presbyterian Talladega, for being such an important part of our history, our present, and our future!

A big THANK YOU to Talladega Fire & Rescue for coming to the rescue at Presbyterian Home for Children’s campus!

When the rope on our flagpole broke, we had no way to reach the top to replace it. Thankfully, our Director of Physical Plant Brian Stone is a retired fire chief from Lincoln and knew just who to call!

The crew from Talladega Fire & Rescue brought Ladder Truck 1259 to the Home and helped us get our flagpole back in working order.

We are so grateful to these hometown heroes for taking the time to help us with a problem we couldn't solve on our own!

Thank you, Talladega Fire & Rescue, for your service to our community and for always being willing to lend a helping hand!

Your generosity is already set aside. Today, put it to work for children and families. Your donor-advised fund can help provide hope, stability and a path forward for children and families.

If you have a donor-advised fund, the generosity you've already set aside for charitable giving can make a difference for children and families at Presbyterian Home for Children.

We are incredibly grateful to our friends at Mountain Brook Presbyterian Church for hosting the Fuller Creek Fall Festival benefiting the Presbyterian Home for Children — and for raising an amazing $12,500 to support our mission!
Gifts like these help PHFC continue providing hope, stability and opportunity for the mothers, children, young women and families we serve. We are blessed by church partners who not only believe in our ministry but find meaningful and joyful ways to help make it possible.
Thank you to everyone at Mountain Brook Presbyterian who organized the festival, participated, gave and helped make the event such a success. Your generosity will make a difference in the lives of families working toward brighter futures.
Thank you for being part of the PHFC family and sharing our mission!

Today is World Teachers’ Day to our special teachers at Ascension Leadership Academy ! 🍎

We know education can open doors and that behind a student’s progress is a teacher who encouraged them, challenged them, and believed in what they could become.

Today, we celebrate our teachers and educators and thank them for investing in the lives of young people.

Happy World Teachers’ Day, and thank you for all you do!

Our Ascension Leadership Academy students are learning the joy that leading with service brings 🧡

For the 4th year in a row they have helped St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church support moms and babies with their annual diaper giveaway. This year they unloaded and organized 5,700 diapers!
