RWPN's purpose is to establish a prayer awakening across the Choctaw Nation, bringing all people together as one nation and to organize the National Choctaw Day of Prayer taking place on the Sunday of the Labor Day Festival each year in Tushkahomma. "For thus saith the LORD, 'I will live in them and walk among them. I will be their GOD and they shall be My people.' " - 2 Corinthians 6:16. In Novem
ber 2010, Chief Pyle and the Tribal council approved to establish the first and ongoing National Choctaw Day of Prayer. This day, the Sunday of the Labor Day Festival, has been chosen to be the National Day of Prayer of each year. It is a day to come together as one to thank God the Creator for blessing our people. We give and receive forgiveness, pray for one another and ask for God to continue to keep His hand upon the Choctaw people and our Nation and to bring restoration and healing to our people and to their relationship with GOD and each other, and to bring restoration and healing to the land, as care takers of the land through Christ Jesus. "But HE was wounded for our transgressions, HE was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon HIM, and by HIS stripes we are healed." - Isaiah 53:5. RWPN also works in close connection with all the 10 1/2 counties in awakening the people to hope, purpose and power in prayer and releasing unity to the people. By regularly visiting community centers and taking prayer requests, we are able to release the love of Jesus Christ and also bring hope to our nation.
