Create art you can wear in this fun, hands-on 3-hour workshop using SolarFast dye and the power of sunlight! ☀️🎨 Students will explore a process similar to cyanotypes by using photo negatives, plants, and found objects to block UV light and create one-of-a-kind prints on fabric — but unlike traditional cyanotypes, these designs are washable and ready to wear!

We’ll have a small selection of white t-shirts and tote bags available, but makers are encouraged to bring their own 100% white cotton clothing or fabric items to customize and transform into wearable art. Perfect for creatives who love experimenting, self-expression, and making something truly unique! ✨

What an amazing Makers Market with our LOGOS students! We loved spending the day celebrating the creativity, hard work, and innovation of these future artisans, engineers, and makers. Thank you to everyone who came out to support the students as they proudly shared and sold the projects they’ve been imagining, building, and refining.
Every purchase, conversation, and word of encouragement helps inspire these young creators and gives them real opportunities to grow their skills and dreams. We’re incredibly thankful for this supportive community and can’t wait to welcome you back to the next Makers Market!

Join us on May 12th for a special evening with world-renowned artist Christian Burchard as he demonstrates his wet woodturning techniques. Christian will guide us through his process, sharing insights into his craft and approach. The evening will conclude with a Q&A session, offering attendees the opportunity to engage directly.

Rep Pam Marsh rode the bus today from Ashland to Medford to talk with bus riders, bus drivers, local businesses, organizations like Talent Maker City and United Way of Jackson County, and elected officials about the importance of our local bus system to help people get to work, school, appointments, and more.

Elected officials from across southern Oregon joined including Mayor Darby Ayers-Flood (Talent), Mayor Tonya Graham (Ashland), Mayor Muelhoefer (Phoenix), Mayor Mike Zarosinski (Medford) and Councilor Bob Kaplan (Ashland) to say vote YES on 15-240 to keep local bus service!

Special thanks to Coffee Bach’s and Phoenix Industrial Studios in Phoenix and for Talent Maker City for hosting us along the route today!

✨Building, learning, and sharing together ✨
This week, our team showed up at the Nonprofit Leaders Conference ready to learn and we left feeling inspired, connected, and energized. Nonprofit Association of Oregon

We dove into sessions on finance, fraud prevention, fundraising, AI ethics, belonging, and partnerships. We also had the opportunity to share a bit of what we’re building at TMC - on a panel alongside incredible community partners - lifting up the power of collaboration in our region. One of our favorite moments? Hosting a hands-on field trip where folks made laser-cut name tags and screenprinted their own totes. Because of course… we had to make something together. 💙

Grateful for the learning, the relationships, and the chance to keep growing this work alongside so many thoughtful leaders.

✨Construyendo, aprendiendo y compartiendo juntos ✨
Esta semana, nuestro equipo participó en la Conferencia de Lideres para Organizaciones Sin Fines de Lucro con ganas de aprender—y salimos inspirados, conectados y con mucha energía.

Entre los seis, asistimos a sesiones sobre finanzas, prevención de fraude, recaudación de fondos, ética en el uso de la IA, pertenencia y colaboraciones. También tuvimos la oportunidad de compartir sobre el trabajo que estamos construyendo en TMC, participando en un panel junto a increíbles socios comunitarios y resaltando el poder de la colaboración en nuestra región.

¿Uno de nuestros momentos favoritos? Facilitar una experiencia práctica donde las personas crearon gafetes con láser y estamparon sus propias bolsas. Porque claro… teníamos que hacer algo juntos.

Agradecidos por el aprendizaje, las conexiones y la oportunidad de seguir creciendo este trabajo junto a tantos líderes comprometidos.

Talent Art Walk is around the corner! Come join us in our Talented little city for this quarterly art event. This Art walk we are celebrating spring and the Talent Tomato! Did you know Talent has its very own tomato variety? Developed/discovered here in Talent - a tomato variety that grows well in our area and produces great tomatoes. Read more about this tomato at talenthistory.org. To support the tomato theme of the art walk we will be hiding tomato rocks (rocks painted to look like tomatoes) along the art walk. Visitors can collect and keep the tomato rocks they find! Would you like to help paint tomato rocks? Art Bop is hosting a rock painting party at 6 pm on April 22. Mark your calendar and join the fun! Want to order your own Talent Tomato plant? The Talent Historical society will be taking pre orders until May 4th.

At TMC during the art walk we will have live music, Talented TMC makers, artwork from TES students, a mini art show with Maslow artists, live printing, and a community craft table. Come join us from 5-7 on April 24th and bring your canned and boxed food donations to donate to the food Library at TMC and the Talent Food Bank.
