Giving Back to the River That Sustains Us 🌊

At Mountain Strong Sanctuary, our hearts are always with this community. While we usually step in during times of crisis, we believe in being "Mountain Strong" every single day—especially when it comes to taking care of our beautiful home.

We are so honored to join Boy Scout Troop 497 and our wonderful neighbors this Saturday, May 2nd at 10 AM for the Pigeon River Cleanup! We’ll be providing the trash bags and some other items as well, but we need your hands and your hearts to make the river shine.

Can you help us make this day a success?
We want to feed every volunteer who lends a hand, but we need a little help with the cookout supplies. If you feel led to donate, we are looking for:

🍔 Burgers, hot dogs, and buns

🧀 Sliced cheese

🥤 Bottled water & Chips

🍽️ Paper plates, napkins, & condiments

Whether you come to pick up trash, donate a pack of buns, or just say hello to our surprise guests, we can’t wait to see you in the lot across from the Bean Tree Cafe.

Let’s show the Pigeon River the love it deserves! 🏔️💙

Our long time supporter is hosting a fundraising event on behalf of Mountain Strong Sanctuary on Saturday March 7 and Sunday March 8. Janet Adams is an Independant Consultant for Paparazzi Accessories and has offered 90% of profits made from the two day event to MSS. This is a virtual event starting on facebook live at 5pm both nights and on Tik Tok Live at 7pm on both nights. In addition to the much anticipated "Egg My Yard" fundraiser, one of our long time supporters, Janet Adams is running a fundraiser through her business, Janet's Bling Boutique, to raise funds for Mountain Strong Sanctuary. Mountain Strong Sanctuary, an East Tennessee-based disaster relief nonprofit, recently mobilized to support a family in need following a devastating house fire in North Carolina, which occurred in the wake of a winter storm.
Originally formed to aid survivors of Hurricane Helene, Mountain Strong Sanctuary has since expanded its mission to provide nationwide disaster response, frequently assisting families displaced by fires and severe winter weather across the Southeast.

We had an amazing woman reach out who had seen the recent successful water drive that our President, Stefan Fox ran and she wants to try something similar to help gather non-perishables!! WHO WANTS TO MATCH HER $50!?!

One of our board has agreed to match bringing the total to $100. Let’s see how high we can go!! The purchase will be made in bulk and tax exempt through our local bargain barns or BJ’s.
