We exist to be a demonstration of God’s love to our region by meeting their tangible needs. When we feed them - we feed HIM. When we clothe them - we clothe HIM.

Jesus tells us in Matthew 25:40 that whatever we do for the least of His people we do unto Him. When we love them - we love HIM. Avenue Outreach is now the Avenue Dream Center. The Avenue Dream Center is a Kingdom-driven vessel equipped to change communities. Our goal is to provoke generational change for those who desire freedom in Christ. We hold the hands of our neighbors and guide them to a foundation of hope, joy, recovery, and freedom. The relentless pursuit of Jesus accelerates us forward, restoring honor to those we serve

John 13:35 says our love for one another will prove to the world that we are disciples of Jesus. We want to show our community that the Avenue Dream Center loves them and that God loves them by providing support, resources and assistance when they are in need.

Why serve? Because showing up for someone else matters—and God can work in us as we do. ❤️

During Serve My City, two volunteers chose to give their time while walking through a difficult season of their own. They dug, painted, and worked alongside others to help a local family. Even in the pouring rain, there were shared stories, laughter, and connection.

What began as a way to focus on someone else became a reminder: we don’t have to have everything together to have something to give.

That’s why we serve through the Dream Center. To meet practical needs, remind our neighbors they’re loved, and put the love of Jesus into action.

Your time, your hands, your willingness to show up—they can make a difference.

“We reach people — we will go the extra mile for Christ and think outside the box.”

Sometimes reaching people looks like sitting with patients during treatment.
Sometimes it looks like helping order a meal, walking a patient to their car, or leaving a snack in a waiting room.
Sometimes it means sending food home with a patient who needs it.

At The Avenue, we’re grateful for the opportunity to partner with Morristown Hamblen Hospital to care for patients and their families.

The way we’re serving may look different in this season, but our heart hasn’t changed.

SERVE STORY ❤️

We had worked for a couple of hours when the rain began pouring down.

In the middle of it all, one volunteer looked over and saw someone still pulling brush—soaked by the rain and smiling from ear to ear.

The rain may have cut the project short, but it didn’t stop the heart behind it. If anything, it made the moment flourish in more ways than one.

People kept helping, serving and doing everything they could—even in the mess of the pouring rain.

“I’m so grateful I had the opportunity to be part of it, even for just a couple of hours. I’m thankful for this group, for every opportunity to serve and for the ways God continues to grow me through it.”

This is what it looks like to love our neighbors—showing up, working together and continuing to serve, even when the rain comes. ❤️

🥫 Mobile Pantry is coming to The Avenue!

Second Harvest Food Bank will be at The Avenue Church on Tuesday, October 6, beginning at 10:00 AM. Food will be distributed while supplies last.

Please arrive when distribution begins at 10:00 AM rather than coming early. Our team will direct you around the building to the parking lot where the distribution will take place.
