Over 850 of us from the Maryland Just Power Alliance gathered yesterday to ask state and local candidates how they would address our housing and utility affordability crisis. 🏘️💡💵

Maryland residents are struggling with ever-rising bills, and with our powerful turnout and speakers, we insisted that needs to change.

The candidate forum was nonpartisan and candidates from all parties who met a fundraising threshold were invited.

Our Candidate Action for an Affordable Maryland on October 18th was powerful! 🎉

Over 850 of us gathered to ask state and local candidates how they would address housing and utility affordability issues if elected. 💵🏘️💡🍃

We made a strong impact with our turnout, political discipline, and our compelling speakers.

AIM leaders testified at the County Council on Tuesday to support three tax credit bills that would make life in Montgomery County more affordable for families with children, lower-income homeowners, and public school employees.

Maryland Just Power Alliance leaders met with Senior Policy Advisor Duane Bond from the Office of the Speaker of the House Peña-Melnyk and Delegate Charkoudian about clean air, safe homes, and affordable energy bills! 💵 💡🍃

We’re excited that community (aka networked) geothermal energy can be part of the solution!

At our Candidate Action on October 18th, we’re asking candidates to work with us to make energy more affordable for Marylanders.

Julián Curo-Churata lived in Laurel for about 17 years before he was detained in June by Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents. He died in the agency’s custody on Sept. 29.
