The purposes of the Organization are: (a) to advocate, educate, empower and support initiatives that combat illiteracy, infectious diseases among children of this country and under-developing countries. The purposes for which the foundation is formed are:
(a) to advocate, educate empower and support initiatives that combat illiteracy and infectious diseases among children of under-developing count

ries, particularly, the country of Haiti;
(b) to obtain support for and provide financial assistance through scholarships for the education of children in under-developing countries;
(c) to provide support, assistance and financial means to construct and manage schools, hospital, recreational facilities and roads in under-developing countries; and
(d) to engage in any lawful act or activity for which non-stock corporation may be organized under the general laws of the State of Maryland. The foundation is organized exclusively for charitable, religious, educational, and/or scientific purposes, including, for such purposes, the making of distributions to organizations that qualify as exempt organizations under section 501(c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code, or corresponding section of any future federal tax code.
