Main Street Pearl is a product of our love for craft drinks, micro-enterprise, inclusive community space, and the progressive town of Takoma Park that we call home. The shop features a bubbly drinks bar - including bubble tea, scratch sodas, kombucha, beer, cider, and sparkling wine - as well as prepared nosh from featured local foodpreneurs. Our tiny 500-square-foot space is stocked with gifts, a

rt, handcdrafted goods, vintage finds, plants, candles, soaps, tea, coffee, wine, beer, and love. Our “Pearl Squad” - a group of young Takoma Parkers interested in business - operate our tuck shop, featuring grab-and-go snacks, rescued toys, books, and games, and youth-made crafts.

The rumors are true... Our lease is up and we're closing our doors on April 21.

Join us as we say a fond farewell to this beloved project on Sunday, April 16 from 2-5p.

We'll be going out MSP style - with lots of bubbles, live music from our friends, woodendoor_music, and surrounded by the people who have made this journey so meaningful.

So, please stop by for a final bubble tea or grown up bev and enjoy our sweet community space once more! ... and take a piece of MSP and help us clear all our stuff out!

Community is at the heart of what we do and without all of you, none of this would have been possible! We are deeply grateful for each of you. It's been amazing to see what we can do together and we are looking forward to many more adventures together in this community.

Two years ago today, we got the keys to Main Street Pearl's adorable space. We were on a mission to build a place where our neighborhood young people could spend time in a safe and welcoming space... and where their grown ups could connect over a bubbly beverage.

We've seen and done so much in the last two years! But, the constant has been safeguarding our joyfully inclusive space for young people to be who they there, wherever they are on their journey of learning themselves.

We are so excited to officially be a community living room for everyone in our community who wants a place to connect or just be! This project would not be possible without your support. It's a new era for Main Street Pearl! We're leaning into making space for young people and their caring grown ups to spend time together in a BIG way. On December 23rd, our bubbly bar and noshery will close and our doors will re-open January 3rd to pilot an inclusive community living room with a robust tuck shop.

Intentionally q***r-positive and neurodiverse, the space will offer a retail shop - selling packaged snacks and drinks, youth-made wares, and q***r and neurodiversity pride gear - as well as a pay-what-you-can hang out space for youth, families, and individuals - with a youth library, games, and craft supplies.

Powered as a community supported space, users and community supporters offer one-time or recurring financial contributions to keep the doors open and multigenerational volunteers will operate the tuck shop and facilitate games, activities, and homework help.

In partnership with we are excited to Introduce Sensory Friendly Wednesdays!! We're replacing the beeping, the whirring, and the bumping music of our usual bubbly operations with earplugs, quiet activities, ambient sound, and a totally allergy-friendly menu. We're kicking off these drop in hang out sessions for youth (and grown ups!) THIS Wednesday, November 9. Stop by and show your love for our neurodiverse community!

Our youth-preneurs will be selling their wares and staffing our tent, the youth-run group, Monthly Club, will be spreading the word about their work in getting period products to people who need them, will be in the shop from 10-12, and we'll be serving a special Street Fest menu 12-5!!

We're joining forces with micro-foodpreneur, Ariel Golightly, to bring vegan morning munchies to the neighborhood!

Starting this week, we're open 7:30-10:30 for cafe drinks, like your morning coffee (featuring our favorite ), matcha, chai, and kombucha, as well as breakfast foods, like bagel sandwiches, yogurt parfaits, and baked goods from .

Stop by on your way to work, to drop off the kids, while walking your dog, or whatever gets you out of the house in the morning!
