A huge thank you to all of our amazing volunteers who helped clean up the cemetery and put up the new sign to help us maintain a clean and respectful space for everyone. Your hard work and dedication are truly appreciated. ❤️

Due to the recent high winds, several items have blown off plots throughout the cemetery. Our crew is working to carefully gather these items and place them in the chapel for pickup.

🗓️ Please pick up any items by 4/16.
Any items left after that date will unfortunately be discarded.

Thank you for helping us keep our cemetery clean, beautiful, and respectful for all families and visitors.

A complete transformation is coming! Tahoka’s hardworking city crew, Jonathan, Ishiah, and Nick, worked in Nevels Cemetery again today. Nine dead trees were removed, and all scattered, broken limb pieces were cleaned up.

Nevels is already looking SO much cleaner! Thank you city crew and Public Works Director Dale Summers. Just amazing!

Over the last few years, the trees in Nevels Cemetery have suffered from severe drought. As visitors drive into the cemetery, all they see are dead trees on both sides of the entrance, plus more scattered throughout the grounds.

But, that's about to change! City Manager Derek Stephens and Public Works Director Dale Summers have a plan!

As of this morning, city workers began cutting down the dead trees and removing low hanging branches from others. Jonathan, Ishiah, and Nick, are working hard with the chainsaw, chipper, and dump trailer. These men are tackling a big job that will take multiple days, but the outcome is going to be tremendous! Thank you city crew!

Caring Hearts received a message last week from a member of Getsmani Baptist Church. "Hope all is well with you. I wanted to ask, will there be a community clean up soon? You all helped me last year, and now we need to vacate our pastor's house of things that were left behind from the tenants. We have a congregation of 11 females, all of whom are widowed, with no males to help us."
With such short notice, we were able to get four volunteers to come help this morning. We all sprang into action and accomplished our goal in a little over two hours. Thank you, Malcolm Chancy, Raymond and Stacy Bell, and Cathy Ross.

We want to thank everyone that came out tonight to enjoy our Fall Fun Movie Night!

We had several sign up to join our volunteer group. So happy to see everyone wanting to join in on making a difference for Tahoka.
