As most of y’all know, we started this program in Tahoka earlier than other PIP groups to give our kids, parents and volunteers a chance to learn the program and it’s expectations. Thank you for sticking it out with us and letting us be a part of your child’s growth in sports and character!
With that being said, now that we are officially in to the PIP season and the kids have gotten used to the skills and expectations of the program, we will begin following the PIPs guidelines that were handed out at the kick offs. (A picture of this handout will be attached) We will begin taking attendance and doing skill evaluations at practices moving forward starting tomorrow in preparation for performance training. PIPs headquarters needs this info to determine our routines and each players spot on the court. Attendance will also determine performance participation! Remember that attendance and continued individual practice of PIPs skills are the keys to this programs success for your child!! 🔑
‼️If you must miss a practice moving forward, please let me know at LEAST an hour in advance of the scheduled practice per the PIP guidelines‼️ (attached)
We will also be implementing the “No Way Marks” as a form of accountability for our players. While, yes, there are consequences to receiving a certain number of these marks, please understand this is not to discourage them in any way. This system is to teach accountability and respect that all athletes should have for themselves and others. These marks will not be handed out lightly or for silly reasons. If a PIP receives one, they will know why! No way marks are also given for not being prepared (for example: no pip shirt, non athletic bottoms, non athletic shoes, no ball) (Picture of these guidelines attached)
Another reminder..
You and your child are members of the PIP program. Myself and the volunteer coaches are just facilitators. We follow the program from the PIP coaches at headquarters as the kids do. I am in constant contact with headquarters and am continually making sure we are offering the best of the program to the players! Our biggest goal as a group of facilitators is for Tahoka’s success in sports and all around character. If there are ever any questions or a desire to learn more, please don’t hesitate to reach out to PIPs directly or ask me how!
Thank you!! 🏀
