Rather than pretending to have it all together and preaching at you from a soapbox as writers can sometimes do, I get real with you today and honestly ponder a struggle I have in my own heart and life.

This week’s new blog has us talking about authenticity, because being real can be a bit of a challenge sometimes. It can be tough learning to balance our rise-tinted glasses when life throws us curveballs!

And should we really even be wearing those glasses in the first place? God calls us to follow Him with every fiber of our being, and in spite of our mood swings or personalities, He wants us to radiate the truths of the His Gospel to the world around us.

How are you doing with living out what you believe?

Wrestling with the big questions of our faith is essential. Floating along on the surface of Christianity results in trite answers, and this does not encourage others to want to believe in this worldview.

To be honest, you shouldn’t settle for it either as meaning and understanding are essential when analyzing one’s beliefs. Spend a few minutes wrestling with one of the big ones today as you read our most recent blog post (link in bio or commented below) 💛

Do we let God’s grace meet us anywhere? Perhaps we don’t want to “waste it” by pestering God with our ordinary everyday frustrations?

But we have a God who can (and wants to) bring calm and sanity and clarity to every aspect of our lives. Don’t be afraid to ask Him to bring a cool breeze of resolution into your situation, no matter how small it may seem.

All of God’s created works will wear out or break down or disintegrate or no longer be useful. We can’t place our hope and our certainty on continued improvement; we were designed to last for only so long.

But even with that sobering thought, there’s overwhelming beauty in this reality: read on (blog!) to brush away the dirt and see what lies underneath!

Our bodies and their postures can open our hearts to what God is seeking to teach us. When we finish and breathe our closing word of “Amen”, we can continue praying with every breath - seeking God’s face and letting our “Amen” (translated ‘Let it be so’) become our heartbeat.

You are not ‘just a body.’ You’ve been created with purpose, by the God of the universe. His eyes saw your unformed body and all of the days ordained for you were written in His book.

Simply existing can be an act of worship towards our good God! And each part of you- your flesh and bone and all of its systems- provides you with the strength and energy to further His Kingdom 🌳🌎

Jesus spent most of His life in obscurity, living a quiet, ordinary life long before His ministry ever began. And yet, those unseen, unrecorded years were no less holy. They were still filled with purpose, obedience, and presence.

Sometimes we overlook the season we’re in because it doesn’t feel “significant enough.” But God is not waiting for you to reach a special chapter or certain point… He is present and working in the one you’re in right now. Even the ordinary can be sacred 💛
