🌿 Growing Young Minds at the Taft Community Garden! 🌿

Today, we had the pleasure of welcoming 2nd and 3rd grade students from Midway School to our Community Garden—and what a great day it was!

The students explored the garden, learned about how fruits and vegetables grow, and got a hands-on look at the importance of caring for our environment. From planting to discovering where our food comes from, their curiosity and excitement made the day extra special.

At West Side Recreation & Park District, we’re proud to provide spaces like our Community Garden that support learning, enrichment, and connection to the world around us. Experiences like these help plant the seeds for healthy habits, environmental awareness, and a lifelong love of the outdoors. 🌼
