Wild&Free is not Bible Release Time. Wild&Free also has no connection to Roosevelt school or any other school or School District.

🌿✨ WILD&FREE WEEKLY UPDATE! ✨🌿

Today started with an influx of kids—and what a blessing it was! 🙌 We welcomed lots of new faces, and our space was filled with playing, music, laughter, and all the beautiful chaos that comes with a busy day at Wild&Free! 💚

And, of course, our kids were well-fed thanks to Waste Hunger Not Food, who provided another delicious spread for our snack time! 🥪🍎 Thank you to our amazing snack team for serving it all up with love!

💬 CIRCLE TIME

👧 4th & 5th Grade Girls — Be a Brave Girl!
Mrs. Jennifer led the girls through a lesson on what it means to be a brave girl, using the story of Esther to remind them that God can use ordinary people who are willing to be courageous and stand where He has placed them. 👑💪

👦 4th & 5th Grade Boys — Identity
Mr. Alister led the boys through a lesson about identity and the importance of remembering that what God thinks about us matters most. They looked at the beginning of King David’s story and his anointing. 🫶

💁‍♀️ JH/HS Girls — Humility vs. Pride
Mrs. Sierra led the junior high and high school girls in a conversation about humility and the difference between humility and pride.

👦 JH/HS Boys — Humility vs. Pride
Pastor Sean and Mr. David led the junior high and high school boys through the same lesson, digging into what humility really looks like and how it differs from pride.

🎨⚽️ CLASSES

🏈 Outdoors with Mr. David
Flag football was a screaming hit! There was plenty of running, cheering, and fun!

📿 Word Up with Mrs. Jennifer
Continued creating beautiful beaded bracelets, putting creativity and scriptures together. The kids have also been doing a fantastic job memorizing scripture.

🍪 No-Bake with Mrs. Sierra
The kids whipped up some delicious treats without even turning on the oven! 😋

🤫🏐 Mr. Alister’s Class
The kids had a blast hanging out, playing Silent Ball and Uno—which may be the perfect combination of competition and chaos. 😂

💚 A HUGE SHOUT-OUT!

Days like today don’t happen without an incredible community of people willing to show up, serve, love kids, and pour into their lives.

🌿✨ WILD&FREE WEEKLY UPDATE! ✨🌿

What a fun week at Wild&Free! 💚 We had creativity, friendship, food, games, and lots of opportunities to grow together!

🎶 A GARAGE BAND + A CHEER SQUAD! 📣
A group of our younger girls put their creativity to work and started their very own garage band! 🎸🥁 And because apparently that wasn’t enough talent for one afternoon… a cheer squad was formed too! 😂📣 We love watching our kids dream, create, laugh, and find their people at Wild&Free!

👧 4th & 5th Grade Girls — Building Others Up
Our girls talked about the incredible power of their words. Through the story of Abigail in 1 Samuel 25, they saw how wisdom, courage, and thoughtful words can change the direction of a situation. We challenged them to be girls who use their words to encourage, strengthen, and bring out the best in others. 💕

🧑‍🤝‍🧑 Junior High & High School — Loving Others Like Jesus
Our older students explored what it really means to love people the way Jesus does. We talked about how experiencing Christ’s love should affect the way we treat the people around us—not just when it’s easy, but especially when it’s hard. ❤️

🤫 Mr. Alister’s Indoor Class: Silent Ball, UNO, and Heads Up kept everyone entertained! 😂🎮

🌿 WILD&FREE WEEKLY RECAP 🌿

The weather has finally cooled down, and with it came a day filled with laughter, connection, and JOY in our midst! What a sweet day at Wild&Free. 💛

🍎 SNACK TIME
A HUGE shoutout to Waste Hunger Not Food for partnering with us to help feed the people! Our kids were blessed with delicious food and were even able to take additional food home to share with their families. What an incredible blessing and beautiful reminder of what it means to love and serve our community! ❤️

💛 CIRCLE TIME — GIRLS
Our 4th and 5th grade girls talked about the truth that another girl’s beauty doesn’t take anything away from yours.

📖 Scripture: 1 Samuel 16:7
📚 Bible Story: Leah & Rachel — Genesis 29–30

We wrapped up our time by drawing a portrait of a friend and writing down the internal qualities and beauty we admire in them. What a beautiful way to remind one another that true beauty goes far beyond what we see on the outside. 🥰

✝️ JUNIOR HIGH & HIGH SCHOOL
Our boys and girls explored the question: What Does a Relationship With Jesus Look Like?

We talked about:
Prayer • Scripture • Honesty • Trust • Obedience • Time • Grace

And reflected on John 14:15:
“If you love me, keep my commands.”

We don’t obey Jesus to make Him love us. Obedience is a response to knowing, loving, and trusting Him. ❤️

🎨⚽ INTEREST-LED CLASSES

⚽ Mr. David’s Outdoor Class — A lively game of soccer!

🎲 Mr. Alister’s Indoor Games — Silent Ball and Uno brought plenty of fun and laughter!

📖 Mrs. Jennifer’s Word Up Class — Scripture, beaded bracelets, and memorization!

🍫 Mrs. Sierra’s No-Bake Baking Class — Dirt cup pudding that was absolutely to die for! 😋

All in all, we had an absolutely lovely day at Wild&Free! From meaningful conversations to silly games, full bellies to full hearts, we are so thankful for every moment we get to spend with these kids. 💛

☀️ WILD&FREE WEEKLY RECAP! ☀️

This week at Wild&Free, we enjoyed fun in the sun, lots of laughter, and plenty of moments that reminded us just how blessed we are to do life with these kids! 💛

🍕🍉 SNACK TIME!
Our amazing team treated us to delicious pizza and refreshing watermelon! What a gift! We are so thankful for the generosity that helps make our Wednesdays extra special. And a big shout-out to Angelica for the JUICY watermelon! 🍉🙌

💬 CIRCLE TIME
Our 4th and 5th graders talked about our identity in Christ—learning that who we are is rooted in who God says we are, not in what the world tells us we should be.

Our junior high and high school students discussed Jesus’ demonstration of healthy relationships and what we can learn from the way He loved, served, listened, and treated others. ❤️

🎨 INTEREST-LED CLASSES
Mrs. Sierra’s craft class created clay-beaded crosses, and they turned out absolutely STUNNING! ✝️✨

🤫 Alister’s Silent Ball class had an outrageously good time! We’re pretty sure the laughter was louder than the silence. 😂

⚾ And you would have thought we were at Yankee Stadium during David’s Wiffle Ball class! The competition, cheering, and fun were NEXT LEVEL! 😆⚾

Happy Sunday from the Taft City Life coffee club!❤️🙏✝️

🎉 SCHOOL IS BACK… AND WILD&FREE IS BUZZING! 🎉

School is back in session, and WOW—our numbers have BOOMED! There were so many kids, so much laughter, and so much joy filling Wild&Free this week. We are incredibly grateful for every student who walked through our doors! ❤️

🌮 Snack time: Mr. David and his team served up nachos and fruit, and the kids were SO grateful! It was a hit!

💛 Circle Time: We talked about what it looks like to be the person who extends friendship and warmth to someone who may be overlooked. We looked at the story of Zacchaeus and Jesus, and some really meaningful conversations came from it. We love watching these kids think deeply about what it means to love others like Jesus.

📚Classes:
🎨 Crafts: Mrs. Sierra’s summer craft class made the most beautiful collage bookmarks!

😂 Indoor Games: Mr. Alister and Miss Sierra had a blast with silent ball and charades. There was definitely no shortage of laughter!

⚾ Outdoors: Wiffle ball was happening with Mr. David—and if you know Wild&Free, you know this is a FAVORITE!

🌟 And we have exciting news! We welcomed a new team member this week, Mrs. Jennifer! The kids were excited to include her, and so were we! We’re looking forward to growing together and seeing all that God has in store as we continue serving these students.

A HUGE thank-you to our incredible volunteers. You show up, jump in, play games, listen, serve food, lead activities, encourage kids, and help make Wild&Free a place where students feel known and loved. We truly couldn’t do this without you! ❤️
