Who won the Challenge at Saturday's Event? It was Hans!
The Challenge was to count how many Buttons were in a vase. His guess was 222 buttons. The correct answer was 232!

Groom your dog and support the Prison Pet Partnership in Gig Harbor!

The women's prison has a program where incarcerated women offer Pet Grooming Services. It is training and experience that they can use after their release. I (Andrea) know someone who uses their grooming services for their dog and loves it.

How much does a groom cost?
Small Dog $55-65
Medium Dog $70-85
Large Dog $90-100

Incarcerated individuals must meet the following minimum criteria to be considered for the program: No crimes against animals, children, elderly or those with disabilities; Major infraction free for 1 year; Minor infraction free in the last 30 days.

They offer more than just grooming. The website has ALL of the information. It's a great program!

Do you have large items in your house that you'd like to get rid of for FREE?
Did you know that Tacoma offers a FREE service to pick up large items from your front yard? The items include: large household items, furniture, appliances, or yard equipment.

A large truck comes to your house and lifts all of the items into the truck. Sooo much better than a trip to the dump and having to pay for it!

Each home can use it TWICE a year!

Tacoma Tool Library

Did you know that you can check out tools? Just like you can check out books at the library.

You can...at the Tacoma Tool Library!

It's like a library but full of tools! Find the tool you'd like and check it out like a library book.

They are a non-profit and just trying to make tools accessible to everyone. I (Andrea) stopped by yesterday and everyone was so friendly and eager to help. It was a nice feeling :) They are located on the 2nd floor of the Tacoma Public Library.

So before you buy that tool on Amazon or Home Depot, consider borrowing it from the Tacoma Tool Library - for free :)
