One of the big problems with recovery is fragmented care, which causes cracks that people often fall in. One of our goals is to provide care that fills in those cracks and navigation from step to step, for any level of recovery.

Sometimes Compassion Looks Small — But It Matters

For some, having even a small covering from the rain is all that can be hoped for.

We saw this man trying to get comfortable on a cement porch to stay out of the rain. We were able to bring him some padding and a blanket — a small gesture, but one that brought a bit of warmth and dignity in a hard moment.

It didn’t solve the deeper issues that led him there.

But we believe moments matter.

We pray that God gives us opportunities to reach people not only in the moment, but in ways that plant seeds of hope: seeds that grow into a desire to step off the streets, to pursue healing, and to find restoration — both for today and for eternity.

Please pray with us for open doors, softened hearts, and the chance to walk alongside those who are ready for change.

It’s easy to take a meal like this for granted.

But for someone living on the streets, a hot plate of food can feel like a gift from God.

This photo was taken during a recent homeless outreach we were able to serve in Tacoma, Washington. Beyond the food itself, moments like these create space for conversation, prayer, encouragement, and connection.

We’re looking forward to providing more meals like this — both in Tacoma and in Las Vegas — as doors continue to open.

Exciting Update from Sojourners Outreach Services

We’re grateful to share that we have begun working with two behavioral health clinics in the Las Vegas, Nevada area.

• One is a nonprofit providing outpatient treatment (IOP) in Las Vegas.
• The other is a residential (inpatient) clinic currently operating in Henderson.

These partnerships are an important step forward as we prepare to open our first office in an area of significant need.

Our goal is simple but urgent:
To help men and women who are living on the streets get off the streets and enter a process of healing and recovery — supporting them not only with practical resources, but with prayer and the love of Christ throughout the journey.

Encouragement for the Downcast Soul

Many of the men we serve wrestle with discouragement and isolation.
Truthfully, that isn’t just a recovery issue — it’s part of living in a broken world.

It’s easy to let our emotions, feelings, and urges take control — to let them define us, as if they are us.

But Psalm 42 speaks directly to this struggle:

“Why are you downcast, O my soul?
Why so disturbed within me?
Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise Him, my Savior."

In Tacoma WA right now we have two properties with 5 houses and 11 residents. We currently have room for 10 more residence.
We are trying to expand by buying two more properties which will allow us to house many more people.

We are looking for prayer partners and financial support.

Right now we would appreciate prayer for a loan to purchase property that will be able to accommodate about 65 more people.
