Cool temps, eventual rain, and thwarting thunder and lightning made for an adventurous race experience on the Thea Foss Waterway this past Saturday! But that didn’t dampen the spirits of our amazing team at this past weekend’s Rainier Dragon Boat Festival hosted by the one and only Tacoma Dragon Boat Association.

We proudly fielded 3 full crews of powerful athletes, and some of us were grateful to bring home some bling to celebrate ! Best of all, we all left with warm memories to kick off an amazing race season 🤩

Tomorrow! Ready, Ready!

"This annual regatta is one of the premier competitive dragon boat events in the Pacific Northwest." 🐉🛶

Racers will descend at Thea's Park on the Foss Waterway in downtown Tacoma this Saturday to compete on the 300-meter race course. Races begin at 9 a.m. Will you be there?!

Happy to last weekend’s Paddler’s Cup!! It’s always such a treat to introduce folks to dragon boat racing, and this year’s treat even included amazing weather 🤩

Huge thanks to the Gig Harbor Canoe & Kayak Racing Team for being wonderful hosts, all the volunteers who made this weekend happen, and every single paddler who gave it all they had on the water 💪🏽🐉🛶
