Grants, Awards, and WAFLT Board openings! Long post, meaningful rewards.
WAFLT members and colleagues, it's that time of the year where we look to support Washington State language educators and connections.
1.🏆 WAFLT Professional Awards: Your colleagues, your community members and *you* are impressive leaders in our state. Nominate yourself or a colleague. The nomination form takes fewer than 8 minutes.
The education profession has always needed a way to celebrate and recognize the ongoing efforts, successes, and innovations of K-20 educators. While it may be a clichéd phrase: now more than ever we need to recognize our colleagues and ourselves for what this profession entails and the outcomes it produces. https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScfy6VDxSr5-iADAF9AkSy1QqUyOG1s0X6jLdrEEiNi8kZnQQ/viewform?usp=dialog
2. 💸 Do you have a vision that you are ready to make reality? Get things going by applying for a WAFLT grant! Whether you plan on pulling off that dream unit with your students, doing some language related travel, or jumping into some professional development, a grant may be the factor that helps you finally achieve your goal. Each year, grant monies go unawarded. We promise the application process will not overwhelm you or your time and that the grant committee is eager to distribute these funds to our members.
