Six years old and already leaving his mark.
Meet “J.” a budding artist who just turned 6 and the winner of our collab giveaway last month. We had a fun surprise for him, so this post has been a long time coming!
When his mom entered him in our Lightcurve x Alchemy Skateboarding giveaway, he tried a few different ideas, scrapped them, and tried until it worked. Around the turtles (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles TMNT Legends ), he hand drew in some Tacoma local faves like tacomapie , Ice Cream Social , Tacoma Rainiers , and more!
His deck design earned extra entries and when the wheel spun it landed on his mom’s name!!!! He was excitef about winning the board and private lesson, but we had one more surprise waiting…
His design wasn’t just an entry, it was printed on the board deck he won.
Watching his fist glimpse of the board deck was priceless. He struggled with the idea of putting holes through the turtle to put his trucks on, but it all worked out! 😉 He left the shop with mom and skateboard in hand to enjoy some local Puget Sound Pizza next door.
Watching a 6 year old creator believe in his own idea, then see it become something real, was the best bonus from this fun collab. Thanks for all you do for our youth Alchemy Skateboarding, our community is lucky to have you!
