Gault Site Steering Committee - IDEA HS Future Site Gault Junior High School built in 1926 in East Tacoma at 1115 East Division Lane. Across the street sat the spacious activity field.

The Eastside Pool was later added in the 80’s. After the vacancy and arson in 2024 we are excited to rebuild IDEA HS here.

Today the Tacoma School District will be officially selecting the contractor for the Gault site, IDEA High School construction project.

Gault Middle School was closed in 2009 due to declining enrollment in the district. In April 2022, the school district released a request for proposals to purchase and develop the site. Proposals must include the reuse of the original 1926 structure, which is considered to have historic value.
