CampTMP at Tacoma Musical Playhouse is looking for teaching artists and technicians to round out our Summer 2026 staff.
Positions currently available include:
Choreographer for Shrek KIDS (30-minute version) – students ages 6-9, 2 weeks – July 27-August 9, $600 weekly. Looking to hopefully hire 2 of this position.
Assistant Director for Shrek KIDS (30-minute version) – students ages 6-9, 2 weeks – July 27-August 9, $400 weekly. Looking to hopefully hire 2 of this position.
Assistant Director for 9 to 5 JR (60-minute version) – students ages 11-14, 4 weeks – July 13-August 9, $400 weekly.
Assistant Director for Winnie the Pooh KIDS (30-minute version) – students ages 6-12, 1 week, August 24-30, $400.
Our camps run M-F 9am to 4pm with performances over the final weekend. We can work with some conflicts with prior notice. There are also additional paid workshop opportunities within our summer schedule for all instructors (and outside instructors! If you have a Wednesday free between July 13 and August 16 and a class you love to teach, we’d love to hear from you as well).
Costume and lighting designers are also still needed for most shows. Stipends vary from $200-400 per show based on design demand and if lighting designers will also be board operating (not required – we have some amazing teens who are wanting to be trained on light board and would be happy to run some shows). Our summer season consists of: Madagascar KIDS, Shrek Kids, The Little Mermaid JR, 9 to 5 JR, Footloose, and Winnie the Pooh Kids.
