We were so excited to see so many contingent awardees come out last night to engage in Business Impact Northwest Classes. We are so close to getting money in the hands of the community. What an honor to bless so many. Keeping the black dollar in our community for longer and helping to build generational wealth.

Hello all,

It has come to our attention that there is a person or multiple people who have reached out to several our community members during our CRP application process via facebook or other platforms with an offer to support them in putting together their applications.

These individuals are now asking contingent grantees to send them part of their award as payment.

PLEASE DO NOT SEND MONEY TO ANY INDIVIDUALS.

The only things we are asking you to pay for are:

1) Tacoma Urban League membership ($50)

2) Tacoma Black Fund Membership ($100 per quarter)

If anyone else is asking you to pay them now or when you get your grant, please do not send them any money.

In addition - if these individuals have contacted you and you can share any information with us, please do.

We are deeply concerned that these people are preying on your business and our community.

The Tacoma Black Fund, we are both humbled and honored to be able to contingently award 105 businesses and non-profits, $1.5 million in funding. We are so excited to see the great benefit you all are going to bring to the Tacoma community.

We are beyond grateful for every business owner that was able to come out and celebrate with us.

TBF CRP LOAN READINESS GRANT APPLICATION IS NOW OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. You can find a link to the application on Tacoma Black Fund or Tacoma Urban League’s website.

The Tacoma Black Fund is our chance to make a collective impact in our community for us, by us. With black creative art as our backdrop, together, we will support programs that directly benefit our community, our families, and our businesses. As we shape
