Norden Lodge #2 - Sons of Norway Sons of Norway Norden Lodge #2 is located at Normanna Hall in Tacoma's Hilltop district.

For 117 years, it has been dedicated to preserving and celebrating Norwegian, and all Scandinavian heritage and cultures. Sons of Norway is dedicated to the exploration and preservation of Norwegian and all Scandinavian cultures. We offer many ways to accomplish this, with studies in cooking, language, needle arts, woodworking, music and literature. We have an extensive library and Genealogy prog

rams available to members. We also run a Foundation which offers scholarships and humanitarian relief around the world. SON offers its members a plethora of insurance and financial products from estate planning to investment opportunities handled by professionals in the field. We sponsor community programs and encourage activities such as Adopt-A-School. We sponsor a monthly Norwegian Pancake Breakfast on the second Sunday of most months at the Hall which is open to the public, and for most of the year we have monthly socials for our members. Our beautiful Normanna Hall with it's full kitchen may be rented by members for special events.

A penguin holds the rank of Major General in Norway’s King’s Guard. His name is Nils Olav — a king penguin living at Edinburgh Zoo who was formally knighted by the Norwegian military. He gets inspected. He gets promoted. He has his own official military record.

This is the country you’re going to visit. A place serious enough to build the world’s longest tunnel — and joyful enough to knight a penguin.
