To Our TAHIMA Family,

The Tacoma Area Health Information Management Association (TAHIMA) has been a resourceful organization for some time now. We do understand there is a work-life balance that does not let all of us be volunteers. However, over the last few years, our membership has been declining, we have had to cancel meetings, and volunteers have become hard to come by.

We have attempted to take a pause and attempt to rebuild, if able, for the 2022 year. We met as a board in November and again in December to talk about the harsh realities of the TAHIMA organization. Tough decisions were made, and we are saddened to make the following announcement. As of December 31st, 2022, the TAHIMA organization will be dissolved. The website has been removed, PO Box and other services will close on December 31st, 2022.

If you are interested in re-opening TAHIMA, please email

Sincerely,

Your TAHIMA Board

Hey Everyone, my sincerest apologies. I just realize that Facebook did not post my post from a couple of months ago. I am so sorry!! The original post stated that there will not be membership meetings until further notice and that THAT is the only information that I had at the time (and still is). Again ladies and gentlemen, I am very sorry that this did not post sooner and my fingers are crossed that this one will post.
