This summer, 23 local teens have already earned their American Red Cross Babysitter Certification through Parks Tacoma's Babysitter Bootcamp.

These teens aren't just learning how to babysit. They're building confidence, leadership skills, and preparing for their first jobs while becoming trusted caregivers in our community.

Programs like this help young people gain real-world skills that last long after summer ends.

Right now, your gift to support scholarships for summer camps like this one can make twice the impact. Thanks to a generous matching gift, every donation will be matched dollar for dollar, up to $25,000 - helping more youth access life-changing Parks Tacoma programs.

"I made a new friend at soccer camp, a real friend."

Sarah arrived at camp feeling nervous. By the end of the week, she couldn't stop talking about the friend she'd made.

Camp gave her more than soccer skills. It gave her confidence, courage, and a place where she felt included.

For families like Sarah's, camp is so much more than childcare. It's a place where kids grow, belong, and thrive.

Nearly 1 in 5 families in Parks Tacoma programs need financial assistance in 2026.

Your gift helps make stories like Sarah's possible.
