Tacoma Education Association

Tacoma Education Association We Teach Tacoma is all about current issues that impact Tacoma educators, including current school information, ed reform, and education policy.

Tacoma Education Association, a member-driven organization, empowers educators to advocate for equitable public education through collective bargaining, inclusive practices, and solidarity with the diverse communities of Tacoma. We’re the people who educate the 29,000 students in Tacoma Public Schools.

We’ll be at 1949 S State St in Tacoma.

🗣️ We're walking out with state workers on Monday to support their fight for a fair contract! Actions are planned in dozens of locations statewide and all are invited to support the public workers that provide services we all rely on. We don't want to strike. SPS can stop a strike before it starts by agreeing to a contract with adequate Special Education supports, respectful pay, and reasonable class sizes. Link below.

We don't want to, but we are ready to stand up for our students if the district forces us to. We return to the bargaining table tomorrow and will bargain every day to try to get to an agreement. We want to be back with our students, and we want to return with a contract that provides more of what our students need to succeed.
