AMVETS Post 1, in partnership with Compassion Washington and Harkness Furniture & Mattress, is proud to host a Free Veterans Dental Event for those who have served our nation.

🦷 Date: Saturday, November 7, 2026
⏰ Time: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
📍 Location: AMVETS Post 1, 5717 Tyler Street, Tacoma, WA 98409

✅ Free dental services for Veterans
✅ No appointment necessary
✅ First Come, First Served

Today, we honor the mothers, fathers, spouses, children, siblings, and loved ones who carry the lasting weight of a fallen service member’s sacrifice.

Gold Star families know a kind of loss that can never be put into words. Their loved ones are remembered not only for how they served, but for the lives they touched and the families who carry their legacy forward.

Sep 21-25 is Veteran Buddy Check Week, and we’re asking our HOW community across the country to reach out to three veterans.

Not with a mass message. A real check-in. Send a text. Pick up the phone. Grab coffee. Go fishing. Ask how they’re doing.

Then comment below and let us know “I checked in with my 3”.

You don’t need to tell us who you checked on. The important part is making the connection. If you'd like to keep it going, tag three more people.

🇺🇸 POW/MIA Recognition Day 🇺🇸

Today, we remember and honor the American service members who were prisoners of war and those who never made it home.

More than 81,000 American service members remain missing and unaccounted for from past U.S. conflicts, according to the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency.

Behind every missing service member is a family, a story, and a promise that they will never be forgotten.

We honor their service, remember their sacrifice, and stand with the families who continue to wait for answers.

You are not forgotten. 🇺🇸
