Last call for Golf teams! We have a few days left!

⛳🏌️‍♂️ Come join us for Desmond Trufant’s 3rd annual charity golf tournament.

Date & Location:
The tournament will take place on Monday July 28th 2025 at Canterwood Golf Club in Gig Harbor, WA, registration begins at 8:30am and tee off at 10:30am. You can sign up as a single player or a team of four here: https://tacoma-kidz.square.site/golf-team-sign-up

Proceeds & Impact:
100% of the proceeds goes directly to Tacoma Kidz Non- Profit. These funds are used to provide scholarships for teens in Tacoma, school supply drive, sports programs, and donated meals for the community. Our board is made entirely of volunteers, with the majority of us being local businesses owners who generously support this cause each year.

Each Year, we have a great mix of local businesses, corporate sponsors and community leaders who come together to support this event. Donations are not limited to monetary contributions. We have collected items to be auctioned such as sports memorabilia, gift certificates, food/snack/beverage contributions etc.

We are looking forward to having you out for our 2nd annual Desmond Trufant Golf Classic Weekend! We are grateful to have you be a part of our event this year and look forward to providing one of the best charity golf tournaments you’ve ever played in! Reminder that all proceeds will go towards scholarships for kids in the Tacoma area.

Important Information:

Date: Friday July 12th
Location: The Home Course, DuPont WA
Time: Registration opens 10:00am.
Putting Contest open during registration window
Chipping Contest open during registration window
Start Time: 12:00pm
Arrival: We encourage you to drop your clubs off at the bag drop area near the pro shop. There will be signage directing you to it.

• We have the course to ourselves for the entire day.
• Please arrive no later than 11am to allow time to check in, receive swag bag, participate in games, warm up (range balls provided), and get some food and drinks.
• Two drinks are provided at check in
• We will have a light breakfast provided to help get through the day, but you are welcome to bring food or order from the course.
• We have the ability to take credit card payments and cash payments.
• Desmond Tee’s off at 12 in front of everybody and then everybody will be directed to their holes.
• There are numerous specialty holes
• Dinner is provided after the tournament, and we encourage you to stick around for awards, raffles, and good times.
• The course is strict on outside alcoholic beverages
• Must be present at dinner to win raffle prizes

Tournament Play:
• Scramble format
• Max of Three Putts
• Rope can only be used after everybody has putted (no using rope for hole-outs)
• Mulligans (if purchased) are for individuals, not teams.
• Don’t forget your sunscreen 😊

Saturday July 13th
• Networking and meet and greet event (Former NFL, UW, and WSU players) for all sponsors and players
• Catered food provided
• Raffles, auctions with an emcee and a world class view of the Tacoma Narrows Bridge
• Putting contest
• Full Bar available
