HeLa! Long time coming! GRIPS read the book about Henrietta Lacks many years ago long before it was made into a documentary or movie. It’s good to know that her story lives on in medicine. They finally honor her in this way.
In the early 1950s, the university's hospital stole cells from Lacks, who has been called the "mother of modern medicine."
