Regional Community Engagement Forums

DDCS/DDA Community Engagement Forums let people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, their families, and supporters share feedback directly with regional leadership about services and processes.

Participants can also comment on proposed changes and help improve services.
Region 3 forums are held quarterly. Upcoming dates:
• Aug. 27, 2026: 4 to 6:30 p.m.
• Nov. 19, 2026: 4 to 6:30 p.m.

Region 1 (Eastern): Adams, Asotin, Chelan, Douglas, Ferry, Garfield, Grant, Lincoln, Okanogan, Pend d'Oreille, Spokane, Stevens, Whitman, Benton, Columbia, Franklin, Kittitas, Walla Walla, and Yakima counties.

Region 2 (Northwest): Island, San Juan, Skagit, Snohomish, Whatcom, and King counties.

Region 3 (Southwest): Kitsap, Pierce, Clallam, Clark, Cowlitz, Grays Harbor, Jefferson, Klickitat, Lewis, Mason, Pacific, Skamania, Thurston, and Wahkiakum counties.

What to Know About Food Allergies in School and Out-of-School Settings, a resource developed through a partnership between Family Voices and the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), with funding from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The PowerPoint presentation was created by a youth leadership team made up of youth ages 14-18 living with food allergies. Youth are encouraged to use the presentation in their schools, clubs, teams, and community programs to help raise awareness of food allergies in schools and OST. A new resource for non-professional guardians such as relatives, friends, or advocates to help navigate the guardianship process. This interactive tool explains how to start the process of obtaining or ending guardianship, conservatorship, or less restrictive alternatives. It is an excellent source of information for the lay guardians that represent many people enrolled in the Developmental Disabilities Administration.
