We wanted to post a special shout out to some amazing people and businesses that helped make the Color Run be what it was!

Thank you to HOTWORX , Linton Insurance Agency, and Kiddie Academy of University Place (new business opening in UP in the old Bartell's space in Fall 2026) for your sponsorships!
Thank you MiMiโ€™s Ice Cream Truck for being there and keeping us fed with delicious treats!
Thank you Fleet Feet Puget Sound for your donation to our top fundraiser prize too!
These local businesses make huge differences for our events and kids we always recommend you supporting them!

And thank you to the High School Volunteers from Curtis High School for not only volunteering your time... but your clothing and taking the brunt of messiness during the run! Our Chambers kids really love seeing the cool older kids out there having fun with them. And the adults appreciate avoiding some of the mess too.

The second annual Chambers Color Run was a huge success!!
Even with a rainy morning, the sun came out and shined down on a messy, colorful, and fun afternoon. Are your kids' scalps still partially orange too? ๐Ÿ˜†

Thank you to our volunteers, sponsors, and to all of you for making it so fun! We fundraised over $4000 for PTA and appreciate the support so much.

Our Top Fundraiser wins a prize of a Hoka Backpack and Wild Waves Passes!
That winner is... Kellen M! The PTA will make sure you get your prize this week.

We feel so grateful to be a part of this amazing community.๐Ÿฅฐ

Last week, our PTA got to celebrate and recognize some very important people at the UP PTA Council PTA Awards Ceremony.
There were three awards voted on by our membership for: Outstanding Educator, Outstanding Advocate, and The Golden Acorn Award. Below are some of the words that describe these three incredible women:

Susan Chin was recognized for being an Outstanding Educator. Those that voted for Mrs. Chin mentioned they appreciated her skill as a teacher and being able to make learning fun. Her students describe her as a teacher that helps them through challenges and celebrates their accomplishments. One student said she feels safe to be silly and herself because of Mrs. Chin. We all want school to be a safe, fun, and strong learning environment and Mrs. Chin creates that everywhere she goes.

Kristie Meno was awarded the Outstanding Advocate award. Mrs. Meno was described as a teacher who embodies what a champion is who stands with her students (not in front or behind) looks like. She works hard to differentiate her classroom to meet all of the studentsโ€™ needs. Mrs. Meno sees her students as they are and works hard to encourage them and advocate for opportunities and support that will help them succeed. One parent stated that her kindness and patience leave lasting impacts even outside the classroom.

Brittany Mahugh was recognized as this yearโ€™s Golden Acorn Awardee. The Golden Acord award is presented to a volunteer who goes above and beyond for our school. Brittany shows up with her whole heart whenever sheโ€™s needed. She runs our Mileage Club and goes above and beyond making exercise and activity fun, challenging, and a priority for our students. Brittany also co-chaired out Staff Appreciation Week and was at the school every day making sure the Chambers Staff felt loved and celebrated. She does all this while raising five incredible children. Brittany, we feel so lucky to have you and your family at Chambers!

Thank you Mrs. Chin, Mrs. Meno, and Brittany for the hard work you pour into our community at Chambers. The PTA adores and appreciates you and weโ€™re so excited to see you getting recognized.

Feel free to leave some love for these three in the comments!
