Youth Leading Change Youth Leading Change is Safe Streets Campaign's free afterschool program for middle and high school students in Pierce County. Currently in Gray Middle School,

Youth have the opportunity to grow as leaders in their community and build friendships! Youth Leading Change was designed to empower local youth to invest in their communities by making it a safer and healthier place for them to live. Youth in YLC design service projects aimed at spreading the message of prevention to their peers and members of the community. Some of these projects include: under-

age drinking, teen drug use, teen suicide, teen pregnancy, prescription drug abuse, bullying, labeling and many more. Youth in the program are encouraged to collaborate with on another to identify a specific problem in their community.

For pain that will likely be gone in a week or two, it is always best to start with non-opioid pain treatments. Talk with your health care provider about other options that may work just as well with fewer risks
