The Clan Gordon Pipe Band

Thank you to pipes|drums and everyone for getting the word out. The piping and drumming global community enjoys being able to be “in the circle”, watching the very best the world has to offer while listening to the expert analysis of Mr. Bob Worrall. Many in the band have attended and hosted watch parties in the wee hours, huddling around a tv or computer screen.

BBC Scotland has re-confirmed to pipes|drums that it has not decided on the World Pipe Band Championships broadcasts, including the popular livestream available free to a worldwide audience. The tentative status of the programming aligns with previous years, when decisions were not announced unti

Last night at the end of practice, friends of the band brought over a huge trove of photos, articles, and memories of the band. These belonged to Pipe Major Jack Montgomery, founding member and a huge influence on the band from the start. Enjoy this small preview including a photo of the band in our first Daffodil Festival parade in 1957. Shoutout to our friends the Clan Macleay Pipe Band and The Keith Highlanders Pipe Band for being with us from the start.

Are you in one of these photos or know someone who is, let us know below in the comments. Please give us a like and a follow.

The band has had the privilege of performing over the years at the Fort Nisqually Living History Museum. What a wonderful organization. We highly recommend for anyone to give their time to this community based educational and historical endeavor.
