: The executive leaders of HealthierHere, our ACH counterpart in King County, and CISC clearly explained the magnitude of the federal changes to Medicaid that took effect yesterday and the additional challenges we will face in the months ahead in the op-ed they wrote in today's Seattle Times.

We spent Saturday at Pierce College for the Leading for Health Equity in Pierce County Summit, hosted by Leaders in Women's Health. It was an inspiring gathering of community leaders, healthcare professionals, educators, students, and advocates, all coming together to share ideas and strategies for advancing health equity across Pierce County.

We were proud to host a panel discussion titled “Connecting Pierce County: Community-Based Workers, Care Coordination, and Community Partnership.” A sincere thank you to Ryan Gilpin of Pierce County Alliance, LuzMarina Tejada of VirginiaMasonFranciscanHealth, and Tiffany Williams of Associated Ministries for joining Elevate Health’s Gena Morgan and Sally Kim for a thoughtful conversation about collaboration, coordination, and community-driven solutions.

We’re also grateful to Elevate Health team members Joseph Gomez and Zach Powers for representing us at our sponsor table and connecting with attendees throughout the day.

Pierce County is fortunate to have many opportunities this fall for meaningful conversations around community health and wellbeing. Next up for Elevate Health: the Pierce Immigrant and Refugee Symposium this Friday at Tacoma Community House.
