Mägi Ensemble The Mägi Ensemble is a Seattle-based professional vocal group. Powered by Shunpike.

The Mägi Ensemble works to perform and record compositions from the Baltic region that are rarely heard outside of that area and to be an ambassador of the power of music in inter-cultural dialogue and identity. The focus on Baltic music stems from the strong relationship between the choral department and the Baltic studies department at the University of Washington. This relationship helped estab

lish the UW Baltic Choral Library, the first of it’s kind in the United States. During her time at the UW, Heather MacLaughlin Garbes was asked to help organize this collection and that started her great interest in not only Baltic choral music, but also the use of music in political identity. The UW Baltic Choral Library continues to grow and develop and now has over 1000 pieces in the collection.

After years of music-making, collaboration, and dedication, we are so excited to finally share this project with you.

Baltic Home is a collection that reflects connection, tradition, and the feeling of finding home through music—and we can’t wait for you to hear it.

Join us for a special evening as we celebrate the release of our third album, Baltic Home! This concert will feature music from the new album along with other favorite pieces as we close out our 14th season together.

Tomorrow we raise our voices for peace. 🤍🕊️ Join us for an afternoon of music, community, and support for humanitarian and peacekeeping efforts in Ukraine, Gaza, and other regions affected by conflict.

We are less than a week away from performing a joint concert with Peninsula Women’s Chorus. The Mägi Ensemble is very excited to collaborate with the Peninsula Women’s Chorus from Palo Alto, CA on a concert while they are on their tour to Seattle. Come enjoy an evening of celebrating women’s choirs! May 6th, 7pm at First Baptist Church, Seattle.
