The Mägi Ensemble is a Seattle-based professional vocal group. Powered by Shunpike.

The Mägi Ensemble works to perform and record compositions from the Baltic region that are rarely heard outside of that area and to be an ambassador of the power of music in inter-cultural dialogue and identity. The focus on Baltic music stems from the strong relationship between the choral department and the Baltic studies department at the University of Washington. This relationship helped estab

lish the UW Baltic Choral Library, the first of it’s kind in the United States. During her time at the UW, Heather MacLaughlin Garbes was asked to help organize this collection and that started her great interest in not only Baltic choral music, but also the use of music in political identity. The UW Baltic Choral Library continues to grow and develop and now has over 1000 pieces in the collection.

One more sleep until Baltic Home!

Tomorrow night, join us for the release concert of Mägi Ensemble’s third album and help us celebrate the end of our 14th season. We’ll perform music from the album, revisit favorite repertoire, and gather together for a memorable evening.

We are 2 days away from Baltic Home concert!!

📍 Getting to the Magnuson Officers Club

The Magnuson Officers Club is located on the 3rd floor of Building 30 at Magnuson Park. This can be easy to miss, as the building number is not obvious from the address alone.

🚗 For the easiest access, enter the park via NE 74th Street. Please note that NE 74th Street has been undergoing major construction, with the current projected completion date of June 11. We are hopeful the road will be fully open by June 13, but we recommend allowing a little extra travel time just in case.

🅿️ Once you arrive, look for parking near Building 30 (picture 1) and follow signs to the Officers Club on the 3rd floor.

Introducing our third album: Baltic Home 🤍

After years of music-making, collaboration, and dedication, we are so excited to finally share this project with you.

Baltic Home is a collection that reflects connection, tradition, and the feeling of finding home through music—and we can’t wait for you to hear it.

Celebrate the release with us on June 13 at 7 PM as we perform selections from the album and close out our 14th season together.
