Browns Point Improvement Club

The Clubhouse is available to rent for your weddings, receptions, birthday parties, family gatherings and all other memorable events in your life.

The BPIC is a non-profit organization, established in 1919 and run by local volunteers for the purpose of engaging in activities to advance the interests of the community. The BPIC funds scholarships, community projects, youth sports groups, scout troops, Senior Citizen Luncheons, Children's Nature Day, Kids Fishing Derby, holiday celebrations, free use of the facility to countless community group

s and other events for the benefit of the Browns Point community. We are located in Northeast Tacoma WA, right next to Light House Park with 90' of waterfront and facing west, which gives you a chance to take in the beautiful scenery of the Puget Sound and Olympic Mountains. Every two years, The BPIC hosts The Original Browns Point Salmon Bake. The Salmon Bake began in the early 1900s when Puyallup Native American Jerry Meeker hosted traditional-style clam and salmon bakes on the beach at the end of summer. Since 1946 the bake has been open to the public which makes it the longest continually running salmon bake in the state. It is a bi-annual event held on even years in August. The next one is in August 2012.

🐟 SALMON BAKE WEEKEND IS HERE! ☀️

Join us at the Browns Point Improvement Club for two full days of food, music, raffles and community fun!

📅 Saturday, August 1 & Sunday, August 2
⏰ Noon–8:00 PM both days
🎟️ FREE admission!

🎶 Enjoy live entertainment in the beer garden throughout the weekend—including music until 10:30 PM on Saturday night!

🍽️ SALMON DINNERS
• $35 General Admission
• $28 Seniors and active or retired military

Be sure to purchase Scrip tickets when you arrive! Scrip acts as cash throughout the Salmon Bake and is used to purchase food, drinks, games and more.

🎟️ RAFFLE & SILENT AUCTION
We have 200 raffle prizes being drawn throughout the weekend!

• Saturday drawings every hour from noon–7:00 PM
• Sunday drawings every hour from noon–6:00 PM
• Raffle tickets are $2 each
• You do not need to be present to win!

Don’t forget to bid on our 22 silent auction items before bidding closes at 5:00 PM on Sunday!

🚌 PARKING & FREE SHUTTLES
There is no event parking in Lower Browns Point. Free shuttles will run approximately every 20 minutes from 11:00 AM–8:00 PM both days.

Shuttle pickup locations:
• Browns Point Elementary
• Cliff House parking lot off Slayden
• Browns Point Town Center
• St. Matthew’s Church

Come enjoy fresh alder-cooked salmon, milkshakes, live music, the beer garden, kids’ activities, raffles and one of Browns Point’s most treasured community traditions.

Also here’s a sneak peak of our amazing raffle and silent auction items! We will be raffling off almost 200 items throughout the weekend, every hour on the hour! Purchasing tickets tonight or tomorrow ensures you’re entered for every hourly drawing but you can also purchase at the bake!

We will also have almost 20 silent auction items for you to bid on!

If you can pay via Venmo you may order raffle tickets through this link through midnight on Thursday. Cash sales can take place at our in-person sales or at the BP Mailboxes through Thursday. Otherwise we will see you at the bake to order tickets!

IT’S SALMON BAKE WEEK! 🎉🐟 We’re officially in the home stretch, and there’s a lot happening in Browns Point this week as we get ready for the 2026 Salmon Bake!

The Browns Point Boat Launch will close Monday and remain closed through August 4th as we prepare for the event. Thank you for your patience and understanding while we get everything ready for Salmon Bake weekend!

It’s time for the 80th Anniversary Browns Point Salmon Bake! Join us for alder-cooked salmon, live music, our raffle & silent auction, kids activities, art, food, drinks, community fun and so much more!

🚍 IMPORTANT PARKING + SHUTTLE INFO
There will be NO EVENT PARKING in Lower Browns Point, so please plan to use our FREE shuttle service!

Shuttles will pick up at:

The countdown is on for BPIC's 80th Annual Salmon Bake, and we're looking for a few more helping hands to make this milestone event a huge success!

A huge thank you to everyone who has already signed up to volunteer—we truly appreciate your support! 💙

While our online sign-up sheet is now closed, we're still looking to fill volunteer shifts, primarily in our Serving Line and Dining Tent. We currently have nearly 100 volunteer spots still available, and we'd love your help!

If you already signed up or expressed interest in volunteering, there's nothing you need to do right now. Terese Parker-Black will be reaching out over the next few days to help get you scheduled.
