We welcomed Zack into our homes at Community Night yesterday!

Zack is a long time member of our community with many years working as a part of the Farm Team. We are delighted that he has now moved into one of our three homes!

We are so grateful to Birth to Three Developmental Center for the support they have provided over the years to Zach!

When Zachary began receiving services from Birth to Three in 1990, he was working on development and communication skills. He received services both in the “little blue building” and in his childcare center.

Zach attended Tacoma Public Schools. For the past fifteen years, he has been a core member of L'Arche Tahoma Hope Community. During growing season on the farm, he stays busy planting hanging baskets, watering plants, and taking care of his favorite chickens. You can also find him with L'Arche at the Proctor Farmer's Market where he has many friends!

Zach enjoys all sports and has been an active participant with his dad, Robert, in Special Olympics. His team won the Regional Silver Medal in basketball this year. After receiving his medal, he explained to his family that it was the wrong color – he expected to win gold! Zachary bowls every week with his friends and loves everything about the UW Huskies. He is also a huge Seahawks fan and is well known at the University of Puget Sound where he watches his stepbrother play football.

Zachary has friends wherever he goes. He also enjoys being a ventriloquist and often has a "Monster" with him so he can practice!

Birth to Three helped teach Zach the foundational skills he uses every day!
