Visiting the Museum of Glass was a powerful reminder of what creative spaces can do.

From the live glassmaking floor to the larger atmosphere of the museum, the experience speaks to the power of art, process, and public access. Places like this matter because they do more than showcase finished work. They invite people into creativity itself.

At Energize Tacoma, that kind of experience is deeply inspiring as we continue building projects centered on culture, art, and community. Tacoma has the talent, the stories, and the creative energy to keep growing spaces that spark imagination and bring people together.

Over the course of this week, students from Northwest College of Art & Design (NCAD) toured Kai’s Room, a part of the larger future Inner Sanctum experience.

We are incredibly excited about the opportunity to work in partnership with NCAD students as we continue building out the world of Kai’s Room and Inner Sanctum. Their talent, creativity, and fresh perspective will help shape both Season One and Season Two as the project continues to grow.

This collaboration will help expand our storytelling through both digital work and physical scene-building, creating new layers of the experience that the public will be able to engage with and explore.

Tacoma Arts Tour 2025 is in the books. Kai’s room is only 10 months old and it got to participate in its first Tacoma Arts Tour. Both days were a great success!

We advocate for green technology and have worked over the last few months to get Artemis here with their hydrofoil fast foot ferry service. During this demonstration we hope the local governments will value the response from various community leaders who will be experiencing this service. We also believe beyond just Seattle to Tacoma there should be fast foot ferry service connecting the South Sound Region. City of Tacoma Government Pierce County Executive

Artemis will be taking their fast foot ferry service around Tacoma this Friday May 8 from 10 to much of the morning. This is only a demonstration showing the latest in fast foot ferry service. The EF 25 shown here is all electric and uses hydrofoils. Locals will only be able to view the vessel while it is here. You can catch glimpses on the water and along Dock Street where it will be docked.

Energize Tacoma worked on bringing Artemis to Tacoma for demonstrations over the last few months. Our hope is in the future larger fast foot ferry service will be in operation.

Energize Tacoma in partnership with Parks Tacoma hosted a workshop at the Eastside Community Center. The workshop allowed people in the community to make customized buttons that will go inside our Immersive Art Project called Kai’s Room.
