To serve our veterans, the military, and our communities. To advocate on behalf of all veterans.

Join Dept. at the Country Carnival Fundraiser in support of VFW Sr Vice Frank Persa and Auxiliary Vice President Tracie Tomsen.

Doors open at 4 PM
Dinner served at 5 PM
$20 entry

Dinner includes hot dogs, chicken kebabs, corn on the cob with cornbread, and apple pie for dessert.

There will also be an “Arrest a Friend” Jail & Bail, $20 to arrest and $10 to bail.

Come out, bring your friends, and support a great cause.

On Saturday, May 3, 2025, members of Narrows Bridge VFW Post 10018 and our Auxiliary joined together for the fourth annual VFW National Day of Service. With help from Tacoma Metro Parks, we refreshed Baltimore Park—right across from the Tacoma Senior Center—by spreading 40 yards of mulch. Eight Post members and seven Auxiliary members volunteered their time to improve the space. This project highlights our continued commitment to service—supporting both veterans and our local community. 📸Tracie Tomsen .

Exciting opportunity for students! The VFW Patriot’s Pen and Voice of Democracy competitions are open for 2025-2026. These contests give students a chance to share their thoughts on patriotism and win scholarships.

Patriot’s Pen is for grades 6-8 (essay contest, $5,000 prize).
Voice of Democracy is for grades 9-12 (audio + essay, $35,000 prize).

The theme: "How are you showing patriotism and support for our country?"

The deadline is October 31, 2025, but don’t wait—start planning now! This is a great chance for students to be heard and earn scholarships.
