Chris is an experienced pro, the one that somehow can make a Venti Iced London Fog with vanilla sweet cream cold foam in a Tall cup ....blindfolded.

When he moved locations though, he discovered that "standard procedure" is a moving target. His career was on the line for a policy he was never shown.

Chis challenged the discipline and reached out to his union representative. Together they showed the company that you can't hold someone to a standard they were never trained on!

Because they stepped up together, Chris kept his journeyman pay and was able to get back to the work he loves.

Have you ever tripped into a policy violation that you didn't even know existed?

On May 26th, the South Bend Pharmacy bargaining committee presented a counter-proposal confronting a serious underpayment in wages. Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, and Pharmacy Assistants/Sales are highly skilled workers who deserve compensation that reflects their experience and knowledge.

The bargaining committee's tenure-based wage scale proposal was rejected outright and the employer's representative proposed 50-cent annual raises, an unserious offer that does not keep pace with cost-of-living increases and leaves some members barely above minimum wage.

This Memorial Day, we honor the men and women who gave everything in service to this country and, among them, the many union brothers and sisters who wore the uniform.

Today, we remember them.

REI is a co-op. So is a union. One of them has spent four years refusing to act like it.
REI is still running their sale. We're still outside.

Every member who turns around knows collective power doesn't stop at the checkout line.

Join us on Saturday, May 30th, at 12:00 PM at Peace Arch Historical Park for a powerful show of cross-border solidarity and community power!

Communities across North America are coming together for to challenge rigged trade rules and demand that governments put people and the planet ahead of corporate greed in the USMCA talks.

SATURDAY, MAY 23 @ 10AM: Now that “candidate filing week” is over, we know the names of the people who will be asking for working peoples' votes in Thurston, Lewis and Mason Counties … but what do we really know about them?

Join us at a special Elections Town Hall at *10am on Saturday, May 23* at the Davis-Williams Building to get to know some of the people running for office in our region and let THEM know about the issues you and your fellow workers think they should take on.

2026 is a pivotal year for our state, county and municipal government. We hope you’ll join us on May 23rd to find out more about the people running to represent you and your interests.
