🧜‍♀️✨ TODAY! Come see us at the 6th Annual Mermaid Festival! ✨🦎

We’ll be hanging out at the Thurston County Fairgrounds from 10 AM–4 PM with some of our reptile ambassadors for a full day of family-friendly fun!

There’s FREE admission + FREE parking, plus vendors, food, pageants, a car show, games, giveaways, mermaids, reptiles, and plenty more. 🐢🐍🧜‍♀️

One last call to rescues!!

We have dog clothes, a small amount of treats left, and some toys. Come pick up tomorrow between 12-6!!
We also have dog and cat bowls and cat toys.

THIS IS THE LAST CALL!!!
After tomorrow we will be loading everything up and taking it to humane societies near by to donate to their pet pantry's.

If you are able to come pick up, tonight or tomorrow, message us! If you have already come through, COME BACK! we would love to get you more of this stuff.

We are looking to upgrade a 75 gallon fish tank to a 125 gallon tank. We wanted to ask the community first in case anyone has one available.

Our 75 gallon tank and stand will be available as soon as the upgrade is in the building!

Are you looking for ways to help the rescue?

We have been asked a few times recently what we need or how people can help the rescue. With both founders working 3 jobs to support the rescue, every little donation helps us keep going. And honestly there are so many ways to help us keep this place running and all of these animals cared for. So we put together a list of ways you can help!

FISH TANK FILTERS

We are currently in need of TWO AquaClear 110 filters for two of our larger fish tanks. The filters currently running on them are starting to go out, and we would REALLY like to get ahead of it before they decide to completely quit on us. (Picture added of the exact filter needed)

BUGS. BUGS. BUGS.

With this many reptiles, we go through an absolutely ridiculous amount of bugs.

We are ALWAYS in need of:
• Superworms
• Dubia roaches
• Black soldier fly larvae
• Hornworms
• Waxworms

If you want to donate bugs, there are plenty of tiny mouths here ready to make them disappear.

SALAD & VEGGIES

Our salad eaters go through around SEVEN POUNDS OF GREENS A DAY.

Yes. A DAY.

Fresh greens and veggies are always a HUGE help around here. If you want to bring something for our tortoises, iguanas, bearded dragons, and other veggie-loving residents, they would be more than happy to accept your contribution!

EVERYDAY SUPPLIES

The boring stuff may not be exciting, but we burn through it constantly:

• Unscented baby wipes
• Paper towels
• Dish soap
• Spray bottles
• Trash bags
• Paper bowls (big and small)

These are things we use every single day to clean, sanitize, feed, and care for the animals.

MONETARY DONATIONS

We have a very large bill coming due that we are currently saving up for, so any help toward that is incredibly appreciated. Even $5 or $10 adds up when people come together.

There are so many ways to support the rescue that don’t have to mean writing a huge check. A package of paper towels helps. A bag of greens helps. A cup of bugs helps. Sharing this post helps.

It all adds up and keeps us doing what we do.

🚨 SPOKANE CAT & DOG RESCUES 🚨

Are you currently helping animals or families affected by the devestating fires and in need of supplies?

We would really like to send over the last of the cat and dog supplies we have, but we need some help figuring out where they are needed most and who can utilize them.

We have boxes of:

🐶 Dog toys
🦴 Dog treats
🧥 Dog sweaters in all sizes
🐱 Cat toys
🥣 Dog & cat bowls

If you are a rescue in the Spokane area helping with animals affected by the fires, or you know of one that could use these supplies, PLEASE tag them or send us their information!

We can figure out the transportation once we know where everything needs to go. We just want to get these supplies into the hands of people who can put them to use right now.

🚨 Spokane Fire Assistance for Exotic Pets 🚨

If you have been displaced by the Spokane fires and need a safe place for your exotic pets, Pacific Northwest Aquatics & Exotics Rescue is here to help.

We are offering free emergency boarding for exotic animals affected by the fires. Our team has experience caring for animals that have been through both house fires and wildfires, and we’ll make sure they’re safe while you focus on yourself and your family.

At this time, we are unable to provide transportation due to our limited resources. However, if you’re able to bring your animals to us, we are happy to provide temporary housing at no cost.

🚗 We’re also looking for transportation volunteers. If you’re in a position to help transport animals from the Spokane area to our rescue, please reach out. Your help could make all the difference for families trying to keep their pets safe during this emergency.

If you need boarding or can assist with transportation, please send us a message as soon as possible.

OUR BUILDING IS CLOSED TODAY!!!!

Don’t show up in Tacoma looking for us… because we aren’t there!

Instead, come find us at the Show Me Reptiles Show in Longview, Washington!

We brought SO MANY adoptables with us who are ready to meet you, PLUS LARGE enclosures, tons of reptile equipment and supplies and plenty of scaley faces to fall in love with!

Come spend your Saturday with us, check out the show, meet some of our adoptables, and maybe go home with something that steals your heart.

Are you going to miss the Show Me Reptiles Expo in Longview this weekend? 🦎

No worries! You can still meet some of our amazing adoptables before we head out.

We’re set up at Petworks in Olympia until 6:00 PM today with a wonderful group of reptiles looking for their forever homes. Whether you’re hoping to adopt, ask questions, or just come say hi, we’d love to see you!

Stop by and meet these sweet faces before they hit the road for the expo. ❤️

Just a friendly reminder! 💚

The two founders of the rescue are currently working three jobs between us to keep the rescue running and continue providing care for the animals.

Because of that, our public hours are ONLY Saturdays from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM (unless we post otherwise).

We are not available for walk-ins during the week. If you need to visit the rescue Monday through Friday, please message us first to schedule an appointment. Weekday appointments are available AFTER 6:30 PM.

Please don’t plan to stop by without contacting us first. More often than not, we’re at work, running errands for the rescue, or handling appointments elsewhere. We absolutely do not want animals being left outside the door either.

We’re doing everything we can to keep this rescue going, and we truly appreciate your understanding, patience, and support. ❤️
