Speak Up for walking, biking, rolling, & transit in the City of Tacoma 2027-2028 biennial budget!

This summer, we worked to help pass the Safe Streets & Sidewalks levy. Now, we need to advocate to ensure that funding is used for safety, access, and mobility for all in Tacoma.

The earlier you get involved, the more impactful your feedback is. Email your councilmembers and tell them to invest in safe bike infrastructure, connected sidewalks, transit connections, and addressing our most dangerous arterials. Use our advocacy tips to get started, and stay tuned for more resources as we learn more about how budget is shaping up.

f you’ve never experienced Fest, this is your year. On Saturday, October 3, , Tacoma’s own community street band, will host an afternoon filled with brass, percussion, dancing, and the kind of joyful music that makes you want to stick around and see what’s happening around the next corner.

Tacoma HONK! brings nearly 30 street bands and cultural groups into the McKinley Hill neighborhood for an afternoon of music that doesn’t stay put. Performances happen throughout the business district, giving you plenty of reasons to wander, stop and listen, and keep exploring.

Tacoma On the Go will be out there, too! Come find us, say hello! And, as always, we encourage you to walk, bike, roll, or take transit to McKinley Hill.

NEW - Interactive Map from Pierce Transit

Pierce Transit has launched new resources to help community members learn more about Proposition 1, which will appear on the November 3 General Election ballot. The new interactive map allows users to explore the service improvements included in Prop 1.

Use the map to compare your current route with proposed changes, see proposed new routes and seasonal trolleys, and explore how access to destinations like healthcare facilities, parks and schools could improve.
