Sometimes, accountability can be the motivation we need.
A vow is a solemn promise. When we commit to doing whatever it takes, we become accountable—not just to others, but to ourselves.
For some people with ADHD, knowing that we’ll feel disappointed if we break a promise can create the motivation to follow through.
It’s not about shame or punishment. It’s about finding a meaningful commitment strong enough to help us get started—and keep going.
Sometimes, the promise itself becomes the motivation.
