HAPPY INDIGENOUS PEOPLES DAY !! Every 2nd Monday in October we protest against the colonization of our land and our peoples. More importantly, we celebrate and honor the resilience and contributions of the Indigenous people and our ancestors. Through genocide and many hardships, our people are alive and still here. Indigenous Peoples Day replaces colonialism and heartbreak with celebration and honor to our people. Today brings new opportunities to educate others from every background to learn about oppression and injustices committed against our people. We are the First Nations to inhabit this land, and we are taking back what has always been rightfully ares to care for. Happy Indigenous People’s Day!
