Meet the team behind our lactation work!

M’Nya is supporting work that sits at the intersection of research, design, and maternal health—and bringing a perspective that really centers community in how solutions are built.

This work is about more than access. It’s about making sure families have the knowledge, support, and resources they need in ways that actually feel aligned and affirming.

Meet the team behind our Maternal Mobile Clinic work!

This one feels special. We’re building something that’s really about showing up for our community in a way that actually feels aligned and accessible.

Brought in folks who are not just skilled, but who genuinely care about the work and the people we serve.

I’m excited for what we’re about to do with this.

Meet the team behind our Perinatal Protocol work!

This work is personal. We’re building something that pushes back on the harm people experience in care and centers what should’ve been there all along—respect, listening, and accountability.

Really proud of the people behind this and the intention they’re bringing to it.

We’re not just creating a tool. We’re shifting something!

We do a lot with little. And with your support, we can do even more.

🗓 Deadline: April 28 at 11:59 PM
📲 Scan the QR code or visit BECU to nominate

If you’re able, please share this with your networks—that’s how we grow.

Today we continued our tradition of adopting a family for the holidays!

Because of community love and generosity, we were able to provide gifts for a sweet family of five. This is what collective care looks like—showing up, sharing joy, and making sure families feel supported.

Please help us celebrate Valeria Lopez, a Fall 2025 Health Equity Scholarship recipient!

As a first-generation Mexican American and second-year undergraduate student at Gonzaga University, Valeria is driven by a deep commitment to health equity, community care, and justice. Her lived experiences navigating healthcare inequities have fueled her passion for pursuing a career in public health and nursing—particularly in support of Hispanic and marginalized communities.

Valeria’s journey through higher education reflects resilience, advocacy, and a dedication to opening doors for others who share similar backgrounds. Whether through hands-on patient care, community engagement, or future policy work, she is committed to uplifting voices that have long been silenced.

We are grateful to support Valeria as she continues her path toward creating a more equitable and compassionate healthcare system. 💛

We are proud to announce Malcolm Clay as a Fall 2025 Health Equity Scholarship recipient!

A Tacoma native, Malcolm brings a powerful commitment to maternal and child health, community engagement, and health policy leadership. Currently pursuing his Master of Public Health with a concentration in maternal and child health policy and leadership, Malcolm is also a CDC Morehouse Imhotep Scholar and a certified postpartum doula.

Through his work as a care navigator, Malcolm connects medically vulnerable patients to healthcare, insurance, and social services—while actively challenging stigma and advocating for greater inclusion of men in perinatal and postpartum care. His vision centers on expanding access to CHW and birth worker certifications and reshaping how men are engaged in these spaces.

We are excited to support Malcolm as he continues building pathways toward equity, leadership, and community-centered care. 💛
