Evelyn Clark is a Mexican-Native American woman specializing in Justice, Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, Leadership Development, Youth and Family Voice initiatives, and Peer Support. Evelyn has over 15 years of experience serving youth and families within systems such as; Juvenile Justice, Department of Corrections, Homelessness, Child Welfare/Foster care, Education, Mental Health, Psychiatric Hospitals, Early Childhood, and Substance Use Treatment. She is a Certified Peer Counselor, a Justice-Impacted Professional, a Certified Healing Circle Facilitator, a Certified Peer Counselor Trainer, and a National Consultant. Evelyn served on the Tacoma Gang Reduction Project, serving youth impacted by gang and gun violence, The Governors Juvenile Justice board, and many community, state, and national committees dedicated to improving access and services for youth and families. Evelyn has worked and provided consultation within the communities, State Government, National, Federal, and international systems.
In addition, Evelyn is a proud recipient of the 2017 Whatever It Takes Behavioral Health Award, the 2019 Peer Alternatives Youth and Young Adult Leadership Award, and the 2023 Peer-O-Award for Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion and Social Justice.
